It's annoying spend such money in a car and live this quest everyday.
9 days at port and counting.

I still have 2 recalls open. I'm really sure more delays are coming.

edit: I called genius. No vessel assigned yet. However they said there is no work order or recall for my car.
The VIN tool is showing RAM and Audio.

This wait is so annoying.

That's insane. I've been at port since last Thursday. Hope it doesn't happen to me too.

Bright side of things... at least you are at the port and not in QC at the factory. All that salty air can't be good though.

that's true.
You probably will be passing thought another purgatory at the port too(I hope not, but looking at current situation).

What makes me upset with this process is the lack of information from BMW.

They should know dates. They should tells us the true.
Hey sir, We don't have the RAM for you car, is expected to be here at January.

Done, not one will be checking everyday.
But, since they let everything open. This an expectation of the process will move today, like into the normal situation.

Totally agree.

This process is supposed to be fun. But the lack of communication from dealers and BMW have made it a stress fueled nightmare. The fact that some cars bypass QC and go to the port adds to the madness.

Since Friday anytime I try to look up my VIN all I get is an error message in MyGarage. Worse than that is ever since I got my VIN I have not been able to get it to STICK to MyGarage with my X3.

I have called the Genius and they cannot figure out why my build will not stick to MyGarage either.

Prior to Friday my build had been in Quality Check since November 9th.... and now I have no idea what is going on. The recall site states that RAM is still open.

My dealer has kept me very updates. I can check on mygarage. It has been accurate. My dealer texts me when I have moved through various stages. He just sent me which ship my car is on and my landing date in Galveston. Considering this is all happening during the pandemic. I am pretty impressed. Now my Lotus Emira on the other hand. I don't have a freaking clue what is happening with it.

I have this same issue and got the same response from Genius and CA. Looking up by production number worked up until 2-3 weeks ago when car hit QC - now it shows a 2019 8 series when I enter my production number.

When Genius or CA look up my production number, they can view my car correctly and see the seemingly never ending QC status.

Weird.

The fact that your car is on a ship and has a date for landing in Texas might have something to do with your perception

Mine was delayed several weeks. It sat at the port a week. Maybe your dealerships suck. Mine was great about keeping me in the loop.

Sounds like you are on time to me if you are build week 47. Glad your dealer doesn’t suck.

After more than 3 weeks finally dispatched from factory but it will most likely get stuck in port for a few weeks now

Have you check the recall tool to see if it is still open.

Mine took a few days after my ship had left port to change. I am told it will take another 2-3 weeks after it reaches port for me to get it from the dealer.

Hi All,

Just adding some information from a UK perspective here.

I've got a G82 XDrive in progress that was a build week 47 vehicle. It was completed in wk47, and is coded as production complete, but has remained in QC since 11/27.

The strange thing is that there are no recalls listed against the vehicle and there never have been! Genius and the online recall checker tool are not seeing anything listed against the vehicle.

They always state that delivery is scheduled for in ten days time, but that just moves forwards as each week passes!

Strange situation, but now they're starting to say that COVID issues might be holding it up!

9 days at port now. Apparently, I don't have any stop sales or missing parts. Just slow to get on a ship I guess. Anyone else experiencing this?
