If I don't want to wire it to the mirror is there somewhere else like a fuse box? I think I did that on my e92.

I believe I used F46 or F47.
On my manual G82 there was no fuses there so a fuse tap didn’t need to tap into anything existing which was a good thing. Fwiw I used the exact same spot to tap into when doing my X3M. But it had existing fuses there. Hoping this is helpful. |

I love the mirror-tap style install, but one thing I will say is to not skimp on the tap wire itself. I went through several cheap ones off of Amazon until I just broke down and got the more expensive set from BlendMount. The cheap ones broke off too easily and I'd end up having to use thin tweezers to pull the pieces out. If I had it to do all over again I'd just have gone with the pricier ones to begin with.
