Thanks so much! We had a great Christmas and New Years and hope everyone else did as well. Last year was definitely a challenge but it was so nice to be able to read and share all of the well-wishes posted here with the rest of the family.

You all mean with the world to us! Here's to the best year yet.

Thought I'd take a minute to post a quick update.

Johanna's doing great and currently wrapping up month 4 of maintenance. School's going great, too. Tomorrow she'll be officially out of the ankle brace which is wonderful. We got floor seats to see the South Carolina Women's basketball team play in early January which was an awesome experience. We caught a couple of out-of-bounds balls and she ended up on the dance cam!



This is her meeting my brother's new dog. I told her not to get any ideas.


For all the positives we've experienced throughout Johanna's treatment journey, we've just been presented with another challenge. My mom was diagnosed with dementia this past week. Unfortunately, this confirms some of the subtle changes we've noticed in her but also allows us to support her in the right ways.

My entire family continues to appreciate you - our extended family. Thanks for all that you're doing to support us and the entire Bimmerpost community.

We are delighted to hear about your progress and the wonderful news about your courtside experience; it couldn't have happened to a nicer person, our dearest Jo.

Sad to hear about your mum, dad - I hope it gives you a chance to spend more time with her and enjoy more memories for they are the most precious gifts of all.

Hi, everyone. Wanted to post a quick Johanna update.

She’s doing great! She had low counts a couple of weeks ago so her at-home meds were paused for a week which is completely normal. Her counts rebounded the next week and her meds were restarted with one of them at a slightly lower dose. They improved again the following week and her next appointment is next Tuesday. The doctors continue to say how great she looks. Probably because she doesn’t take after me in the looks department.

She had applied to go to a different high school than the one she’s zoned for and got accepted so she’s super excited about that. She picked her classes today and is in all honors/AP courses.

She was approached by a teacher the other day about partnering with a 7th grader that has lymphoma. Johanna was very excited to meet them and provide support for what they’re going through. I was so proud that she was willing to do it.

March 16th starts our one year countdown to treatment completion and we couldn’t be more thrilled. It’s been a long and trying road but one we see a successful end to. Thanks again for your continued support.

Great news, glad she is (and you too) doing well. I’ve had the opportunity to mentor a lot of people in the past, though not in the same scenario, and it’s very fulfilling.
