Bad weather at Donington for the BTCC and others soon

Track is flooding in places from the incessant rain and it being a fast track there is some doubt waiting to even to start racing with waterlogged points on the track.
Is it the only chance to stop cockney Sutton from winning

New rules for '24 mean more hybrid power is available, up from 30hp to 60hp and I believe if you finish in the top ten then you must use hard tyres for the next race? unless it's wet of course.

...and they're off at last with the track dry enough to be drivable!
Great start by Hill up to 2nd immediately and of course someone goes off into a tyre barrier, SC on.

It was Osbourne who was punted off and demolished a tyre wall sliding across the wet grass.

They're counting down the laps as the SC continues and there will only be a handful of laps left to finish, bad news for the ones at the back as less time to attack to move up but could be good news for Hill in the BMW to get Ingram...in a Kia and only 4 laps left..race could be restarted.
No, as laps are added and race restarts for just 6 laps of racing.

Easy win for Ingram as the BMW's get 3-4.

Round 2 and Hill seizes the lead from 3rd on the grid at the start as Ingram and Sutton hold each other up

Two in a row for Ingram as BMW's are 3rd and 5th. Hill's and Turks BMW's just run out of steam as the race progresses, and Sutton's car catches fire after coming 2nd...with Round 3 still to run so it may be a new engine for him.

Wow in the F4 race Canadian Alex Berg, the son of ex F1 driver Alan Berg (Osella) streaks into the lead from 3rd at the start.

Final touring car race 3 coming up and its reverse grid with Huff on pole. Will Huffy's Corolla hold it or can Turks' 330e rocket from the start and hold it to score a win setting himself up nice for the next round at Brands..he can do it with danger men SUT and ING well behind.
The BMW's have been adjusted not to wear the rear tyres out too fast.

Morgan starting 3rd mugs Huffy for the lead and we'll see if the 330e can hold on with those rear axle adjustments for the rear tyres to deploy the hybrid better.

In the end Turks came through for 2nd as Moffat grabbed the win. Morgan locked up before and then Hill battled with the Sutton/Ingram duo to let BMW grab needed points to keep in touch.

See you at Brands !!!
