I absolutely despise the giant blue thing that default head up display has. I don’t think you can get rid of it, or if someone knows please let me know. My 2021 had reduced mode but the 2023 doesn’t seem to have any effect on that giant blue bar.

The thing I’m most annoyed about is that they took the vent temperature control wheel off the dash and buried the control deep in the i-Drive. You can still change the temp of the dash vents, but its so inconvenient (and distracting) that I tend to stay too hot or too cold, particularly at times of year like this where temps vary widely from day to day. I find the current solution to be extremely inconvenient and dangerous. Bring back the wheel!

Also, I’m annoyed that the rain sensor wipers don’t self-cancel when you turn off the car. I’ve gone through the car wash a few times to watch my wipers flapping away. After driving BMWs for 25 years that self-cancel, this is hard to get used to. My ‘17 X5 has the most elegant solution, IMO. A button at the end of the wiper stalk that turns on the rain sensor and turns it off when the car shuts off.

Other than those two things it’s the perfect car for me!

push to downshift / pull to upshift is correct not annoying! Audi does it the way you are wanting and it's awful.

I've seen that in many videos waiting to receive my G82. I hope they update in a way to fix that! It looks annoying.

My 2022 does not do this. Is this a new feature? I’ve been asking for this for years. I’d also like to start in whatever mode I left it, road/sport/track. It’s annoying to have to hold down the Mode button before each session.

I don't want the radio to turn on when I enter the car to get my phone or whatever.

Speaking of the radio....sound quality there is lacking big time. My 9 year old 428i is way better. WTF!

And the auto rev for the manual is not worth a shit.

Agreed, I want what I want until I don't want it, then should be the time to push more buttons.

The auto lock and unlock. Goes crazy when you're still close to the vehicle.

Disappointed with the audio - even though supposedly the same HK as in previous m3/m2 ?
It's definitely less powerful.

- agree with everyone, auto lock-unlock
- cheap latch storage left of the steering wheel

But for a car of this performance that’s not a lot to complain about.

Yeah, when you're complaining about the cheapness of the left storage box next to the steering wheel (which has soft felt in it, by the way), the car is pretty damn good.

If someone asked a Ferrari owner about what their annoyances are, the list would be longggggg. ...but all would be tolerated and overlooked with one run up to the redline.

The fact that the car profile can only link to one key fob. If I use the second key the seat starts adjusting until I can switch and put in my pin

You may know this.
But I found turning off the Bluetooth and forcing connection through WiFi greatly improves the highs and lows when streaming from my phone.

YES, yes, yes! With the key in my pocket, my garage sounds like a casino when I’m doing projects.

Nothing like getting gas and having your car beep, lock and mirrors fold 4 times because you moved 5'.

And can you have the radio turn the hell off when you turn the car off? Once again looking like some D-Bag getting gas or parking your car. Stupid radio playing for no reason.

Rant partially over.
Wow, that’s a lot man.
A lot to get off your chest.

Do you feel better now?

A good solution to the Auto Unlock annoyance is to just turn it off. I find just using auto lock to be perfect and not annoying. The car unlocks anyway when you put your hand on the handle so having it unlock when you are near the car instead is not really adding any convenience.
