I ordered my M3 base late November 21', I was at the dealer picking it up April 2nd. I think depends on timing really

Have to call the BMW Genius or ask your SA what your build week is, they can tell you

Crashing the G80 waiting room. Ordered my G82 in early May and I received the allocation with production week 44 yesterday. I was number 1 on the waiting list. The process of allocations is a mystery to me. Now the 2nd wait begins!

I got lucky and got an allocation right away from my dealer and only waited a week for it to enter into assembly.

With that said my car has been waiting in stage "Awaiting Carrier Assignment" for the past 3 weeks. BMW Genius doesn't have an ETA on when it will be at the port. The anticipation is killing me but after reading many other posters taking months just to get an allocation, puts things in perspective.

Does anyone have any insight on how long it generally sits in the "Awaiting Carrier Assignment"?

I changed it so many times that the SA actually suggested to not change it because it "might delay the allocation".

As long as you don't add carbon buckets you should be fine lol.

Put a deposit down in July and got an allocation at the end of September. Car is currently in 112 status after being previously in 112 but getting bumped down into 111. My SA says it should finish production in the first week of November and I'm constantly rechecking the status online to see if I've flipped to 150.

Hoping I can get the car before the end of the year but I feel like that would be unlikely for a West Coast delivery; had to cancel a potential trip during the first two weeks of January so I would be available for delivery.

Oh, are carbon bucket seats known for slowing it down? Good to know. I actually went with the plain black leather sport seats.

For sure. I've seen posts on here with people being bumped back several weeks or even a couple months due to carbon buckets.
