Its moving faster than I expected. It will be out of range soon unless someone buys the satellite tracking. I will not be as I will take the opportunity to do actual work this week and not refreshing the screen every 30min lol.

When my 2019 M5 made a stop in Halifax I recall Horizon Highway being within AIS range maybe 12 hours before it reached the port in Halifax.
So we may only be "in the dark" until Friday 9/9.

I will post position screenshots as they become available. Right now satellite AIS updates are coming through about once every 1-2 hours. Will keep you updated. FWIW, the pay subscription is actually pretty interesting. Can layer over all kinds of information like wind speed, swells/wave height, currents, etc. They also keep updating the ETA in Halifax given current position/speed. For a while it pushed forward to 9/11/22, but now is back to 9/10/22 at about 3:30pm local time. Also interesting to see the overall Atlantic Ocean traffic right now. Hurricane Danielle is in the North Atlantic and you can see all the traffic avoiding it to the north & south!

It’s either heading north west or towards Europe, but it’s not doing both from the middle of the Atlantic. Can’t imagine what transatlantic sailing would be like without radar and sat data. One day everything is beautiful the next day you’re in a cat 3 and praying to the old gods

Check out those circulating dark-red wind barbs well southeast of Newfoundland! That's Hurricane Danielle. Thankfully staying outside of the direct shipping lanes from Ireland to Nova Scotia.
You can see Treasure's location (still from 4:30pm Eastern time on 9/4/22) as the circular bulls-eye off Ireland.
