"I don't know if I'd really call the M4 CSL a "CSL" - The E46 legend was too impressive. The legacy for the current CSL is correspondingly difficult. In times when electric cars are flooding the market and monster SUVs like the XM are being developed, we can be happy that the M4 CSL has even made it into series production as a 911 GT3 alternative."

Its just the next evolution of the M3 recipe, from E46 CSL, E92 GTS, F82 GTS, G82 CSL. It may rank 4th out of those 4 cars, but we didn't get two of them in the U.S. and one was viewed by the public as a pure track car cause of manual suspension.

Totally outrageous that what is effectively a 3 series can be viewed as a 911 GT3 equivalent by Sport Auto.

I'm sorry ScullyD but how do you rank the G82CSL as 4th? Each and every one of those four cars is different to the others and each a legend in its own rights.

In my view, they are each winners in their own category

No I'm not ranking it 4th, sorry, I'm saying let's assume it's 4th in that ranking. Still an amazing m car, cause all 4 of them are. I've never driven any of the 4, unable to properly rank them.

Agreed. The G82 CSL would rank right on par with the E46 CSL to me, and that's only because of the nostalgia associated with the E46. I would definitely take the G82 over the E9X/F82 GTS models.

My CSL finally went into production! Estimated date of completion is November 18. Hopefully gets here by the end of the year.

Mine was scheduled for week 47 so it went early. Keep your fingers crossed.

So on your hood have an XPEL matte finish all around but XPEL glossy cutouts for the exposed carbon area?

I'll answer since I asked him a while ago. Yes, they mated the two different materials on the hood and there is a seam that follows the red striping.

I adjusted the driver seat, it took maybe 15 minutes.

1. pull the lower seat belt bolt out (T-50) and pull the belt up and out of the seat and let it hang in the backseat area

2. slide the seat forward and remove both floor bolts then slide it back and remove both floor bolts (T-50)

3. tilt the seat inwards and pop the plastic push pin holding the airbag cable to the bottom of the seat bracket, just pull on it. unplug the yellow airbag connector by lifting on the latch and then pull the plug off.

4. rotate the bottom of the seat up and pull it out bottom first / sideways.

5. set the seat on a table and loosen the four bolts. remove one side first, set the seat where you want it in that side and put the bolts back in loosely then do the same on the other side.

6. angle the seat how you think you want it and then tighten the bolts.

7. reverse 1-4 to reinstall.

very easy
Hello Higgs Boson: Thanks a ton for providing this procedure – super helpful! Can I ask for a quick clarification regarding the following statement: "pop the plastic push pin holding the airbag cable to the bottom of the seat bracket, just pull on it".

Could you identify in the provided pictures (front & rear underseat) the "plastic push pin" mentioned above. I just can figure out which push pin is the right one. Thanks!

I believe in the first pic its the top right. If you follow the ABS wire from the plug it will lead you to it.

If i can get my ladder and get up to the car this evening I will get a pic for you. On the driver side if I remember right it's sort of right in the middle of the seat bottom. I haven't done the passenger side yet.

Thanks for the info; much obliged!

When/if possible, a picture of the actual plastic push pin would be greatly appreciated.
