Car is getting totaled and currently waiting for a 2022 model but deciding if these options are worth it once the new one arrives. The GAP does (for obvious reasons) but not sure about the extended maintenance. I plan to do select again.

I know it covers brakes / rotors and I think some other stuff on top of oil (like sparks). Just not sure if any of those services will actually be needed by the time I go to trade it in, and I don't plan to track it (and if I do it's going to be like once or twice just to try it out).

I most likely plan to sell the car at the end of the 5 years and banking on getting enough trade in to cover the balloon payment or more (so I can come out somewhat on top). I don't plan to put more than 8-10k miles per year on it if that. Could be 5k or less depending on work situation.

The only reason i'm not leasing is because i'm not sure if i'll plan to keep it or not and what life will look like in three years, so I don't want to just throw away like 45k either with nothing to show for it.
Though i'm not sure how viable it is to keep an M3 car for more than 3-5 years in terms of maintenance / upkeep costs. Dealers say it's a nightmare but not sure if they're just saying that so you will keep buying new ones from them?
What dealer are you working with in Phoenix?

My car sitting @ HUENEME port in oxnard CA and should hit the dealership anytime soon..

thats 60 months with a balloon? how much is the balloon?
27,500
Thinking of Doing the same. 28k payoff at the end of 5 years. Seems very low risk considering 2016 m3s are going for 45k. With the interest rate being less than 1%, it seems like a no brainer to me.

How do you get the pen fed discount? I thought that only applies if u finance through them.

Thanks

$500 with penfed, you have to be atleast or passed the 60 days membership then you'll be able to generate a code for the rebate/discount.

Did your dealer explain how bmw select is calculated? Our numbers are close but my msrp is few thousand lower than yours.

Just trying to nail down my dealers quote. Is the residual negotiable?

Make sure to check with your insurance company on whether gap is already included in your policy.

About to place an order for my second G82 (xDrive this time). Anybody managed to get a discount from MSRP before incentives?

There are incentives? MSRP was the best I got. I also heard $7.5K and even $10K over MSRP which I would never do.

Yep, there are $500 Loyalty (BMWFS financing), $2500 Penfed (non-BMWFS financing)/$500 (BMWFS financing), $1000 College Grad, and $1000 event OL codes.

This is what I am struggling with right now. Got it down to $5K over, but there is essentially zero stock out there. FYI this is buying an M3 Comp and X5 at the same time from a dealership I have bought 12 cars from. The dealers know they can wait a few days and get it so why let it go cheaper?

2 cars simultaneously and 12 previous cars from them and they're charging you $5k over? Holy shit.

Yep, and the M5 I bought two years ago was $20K off sticker from them. My lease on that one was around $1150 including tax on a $125K sticker with just drive off's.

You can do better. MSRP seems easy to get. I for one will not pay over MSRP anyway.

Salespunk, you should just email the GM of the dealership and say "this is BS." I had a problem ordering a M3 from a local dealer where I felt yanked around by two salespeople. I emailed the GM with my displeasure and he personally took over my sale, perhaps because I had owned 6 BMWs before, even though I had never bought one from his dealership. If you're a 12x repeat customer I would expect a speedy reply from the GM and favorable pricing, which means MSRP or below. It wouldn't be unreasonable to expect $1K off for a valuable customer like you. If they don't give you any love tell them they screwed up and go find a new dealership.

It's all good, went to their sister dealership and got the car yesterday afternoon for a much better price. It was slightly over sticker, but there are only a few cars available within five hundred miles. It is not worth my time to spend hours to save a few hundred dollars in all honesty.

Also picking up an X7 for my wife this morning and got $7K off sticker on that so it all balanced out.

For anyone looking there are two 6 speed cars available that I saw. One was Skyscraper over black (beautiful config) at Encinitas and Sao Paulo over Fjord with buckets in Escondido. I doubt the Skyscraper will last long at Encinitas, but the Sao Paulo is going to take the right buyer.

U must be the one who got the Grey with Full Carbon setup from BMW of Vista (if i'm guessing it right). It's about 86K before Mark-up

Congrats!!

Yes thanks! Paid a small markup, but nowhere near the $5K they were asking. Took a while to negotiate.

Some dealerships are offering MSRP with 1% in interest rate mark-up. Thoughts on that?
