Lithia Protection Package

Good evening!

I will be taking delivery of my 2024 M3 Comp in Verde British Racing Green later this month. That said, I had a question for the forum regarding dealer protection packages. I've been offered an Extended Mechanical & Electrical Coverage Package ($6,995), Lithia Lifetime Oil ($1,449), Perma Plate Appearance & Windshield ($2,495), and Lithia Gap ($995).

That said, I wanted to see if the anyone has been offered this type of package and if they think any of it is worth consideration. The only item I'm potentially interested in is the Lithia Gap. Everything seems unnecessary.

Thank you!

I wouldn’t take any of those packages. That’s pure profit for the dealer.
The gap coverage should be part of the financing deal.

I agree. These practices are a big red flag to me. Read over everything very carefully.

No, no and no thank you. Most insurance companies will add gap insurance for a couple bucks a month. Save all that money.

Wouldn’t take any of those and I’d quadruple check the sales sheet before signing anything. Sounds like that place is the definition of a stealership.

For that money you could go full stealth PPF and get some wheels too.

12K in protection packages? You’re joking, right?
