Do you think it will be plug and play with the pre-LCI's? Fingers are crossed, it just seems like there is always an electronic/plug issue that keeps it from being as straight forward as it should . My hope is they release an updated "M sport" steering wheel that you can buy, similar to the one now, and it will be compatible with all G8x's.

I just wonder how it would work if you have the heated steering option now. It appears in ID 8.5 access to the heated steering wheel would be through the touch screen.

Good point i didn't notice the button not physically on the wheel anymore. See, this is what I'm talking about. There's always some little tweak that keeps it from being simple!

I can agree, tried my laser lights for the first time, 10x brighter than my x5’s headlights. Lucked out that I got mine right before the LCI.

"The LED headlights are paired with the visually and technologically impressive design of the LED taillights, which are standard on all versions of the BMW M4 and feature laser technology and an attractive light design. Inside, laser diodes illuminate glass fiber bundles, producing 3-dimensional light graphics which complement the taillight clusters. This technology was first presented on the limited edition, ultra-high performance BMW M4 CSL."

Currently working on my LCI retrofit Steering wheel for pre LCI's, I worried about the same thing since we are using I5 Cores they do not have any physical buttons for heating, but tested on my buddies 23 M4, (not ID8) and you can activate via the climate menu and by the voice commands, so while it is not ideal, it can still be retained fairly easily.

I will have more information closer to the end of march as we do more testing but like my G series supra conversion, the LCI update wheel should be fully plug and play, while retaining your oem airbag and buttons.

[QUOTE=Bimmer07;30865045]Is M3 also getting these taillights?

For sure not, because the shape is different.

No. G80 LCI has already been spied and the taillights are the same as the pre-LCI.

They look nice but I find them not very visible unless they are brighter in person.
