You’re almost certainly on a ship at this point. Try calling the Genius line to know for sure. My Garage switched to At the Port on 1/25 (and still says that), but the Genius line told me my car was loaded onto the ship on 2/6.

I wish that was the case man. I called them yesterday and they did confirm with me that unfortunately my car is still sitting at the port. I was thinking the same thing that maybe it has an updated but when they tell you it's not on a ship that's the accurate information I guess. It's getting incredibly frustrating for me because I'm driving around a rental car and losing so much peace through this process which should be enjoyable. I hope Bmw can get their act together and make things work for people. There's no reason people with production weeks ahead of mine should be receiving the vehicles when I have no open recalls. Thanks for the positive encouragement, I hope you enjoy your car

Not sure if you've been asked before, but do you have any stop sales or recalls? That, unfortunately, could be a reason for not getting on the ship.

Oh, dude - I’m really sorry to hear that, and can definitely understand your frustration. I’d presume that your car would’ve at least been on Artemis Leader (as mine is) since you’re in SoCal and your car was at the port about 6 days before mine. Barring any stop sales or recalls it doesn’t make sense that you’re not.

One hopes that there is a reasonable explanation as to why that’s the case, even if that information isn’t (yet?) available to you.

I wonder if date of order (as opposed to date of allocation or build completion) might be a factor in loading priority? I placed my order at the dealership on November 6th - did you perhaps place yours later than that? It might also be worth calling your CA to see if they can exert any amount of pressure to get your car loaded on the next ship bound for California. This is my first time ordering a new BMW, so please forgive my naivety if I’m way off here; I’m just spitballing at this point.

Does anyone have a way of accurately tracking Artemis Leader? Several vessel tracking websites are saying "it's out of range" and require a paid subscription to track by satellite

Not me, but according to NYK latest WK8 schedule updated on 2/24/22, Artemis Leader is now listed with a 3/15/22 date for Port Hueneme.

VesselFinder is great for when the ship is in range of mainland and can transmit updates via AIS. But to track via satellite requires a paid subscription. FleetMon (either website or app), however, provides this info for free (at least for a couple weeks, I think). You need to create an account to see it, but it doesn’t ask for anything but your email address to sign up.

That's because the vessel was turning in circles in the English channel at very low speeds for 5 days, due to the high winds associated with storm "Eunice"
