How Long Does "At the Port" Take?

My status changed to "At the Port" about a week ago, and in that time at least 2 or 3 ships headed to Port Hueneme (Oxnard, CA; my destination port) have come and gone, yet my status has not changed. I know everything is crazy right now and normal timetables are likely out the window, but how long does this stage take these days?

I'm also at port bound for Port Hueneme. According the Wallenius Wilhelmsen site which I've seen used by other forum members there are three vessels heading for Port Hueneme in February. I'm anxiously hoping mine departs either the 4th or 12th in order to give me the best chance of preserving my rate lock 😰

Mine was in "at the port" status for 20 days now.

Found out that it had a missing part or something that needs to be checked and they had no ETA at all. You can check that here ..

https://bmw-recall-tool.netlify.app/ If there are any issues, it should show the details here. If it is RAM module that is causing any delay so far they dont seem to have any ETA.

I was there for about 2.5 weeks before I got on a ship.. I asked Genius when the car arrived at port about a time table and was told about 3 weeks to get on ship.

I have found that the answer to this question is: as long as BMW decides it's going to take. In all seriousness though, I've seen that the average wait time at the port in Bremerhaven is around 2 to 3 weeks. Some go shorter and some go longer. There have been folks to go over a month. The real question is, what's happens once you hit the United States. If you have a stop sale, the wait at the inbound port can be long.

Going into week 5 at Bremerhaven. Quite few boats have come and gone to Baltimore. Seems most week 2s didn't make it on the boats that left and are still at port while week 1s are being delivered already.

You have to keep in mind that it isn't like your car shows up and goes right on a ship...there is a large backlog of all brands/types of cars waiting for a ship at port...from my past experiences it is usually 3 week wait before getting on a ship.

It took me a full month from awaiting carrier transport to "in transit".
