Many buyers disagree with you. But then again beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Yep. Best selling 7er of all time was the much hated/maligned Bangle butt E65 made from 2002-2008.

Neither successor has been able to match/surpass its year to year sales numbers.

I fixed the matte black wheel issue with my M4 and had them repainted in the 359M wheel colour from the E9x M3's. Black wheels from a distance to me looks like the car's on blocks with the wheels removed or old steel wheels with the hub caps missing, or they're coated in brake dust and haven't been cleaned for 3 years.

Every now and then I keep seeing FXX guys saying the 1M looks dated....

well if this is fresh then I can live with 'dated' I guess.

What a terrible looking car. I really thought it would come together as new things take time to get used to at times. But the real photos are worse than what I thought it would look like. Time to move onto Porsche.

To be fair, the proportions of the new car were distorted by the design team, not the spy shot. A professional photo shoot won't do nearly enough to help.

And I suppose you have seen the car in real life to make such a bold statement?

I wish I was compensated. Lol!

I was an open critic of the 7 and X7. They have grown on me.

Same. Especially after seeing them out in the real world.

I believe the Alpina version is the best looking 7 series in a long time.

The bangle generation also came with tech that caught Mercedes and Audi off guard at the time and many new generation of buyers migrated towards the 7 series in that period.

However, as of recently, when it comes to tech, MB & BMW have allowed the suppliers to set the bar which now they have recognized was the wrong approach as they are clearly decade behind Tesla and even the Korean Manufacturers on that front.

Concerning the new G gen M3, I really don't mind the front grills now. Its not my ideal design choice but overall if that grey car is legit, it has presence.

But I get the feeling, I might go back to another F80 before jumping into the G m3.

BTW does anyone know if the oil cooler is again located at the bottom like the current F generation M cars?
