New Owner in SE Michigan
Hey All, I see there are a few people here in MI, I figured I would say Hi. Just picked my car up from Nebraska and drove it home. Previously had a Focus RS, now M3. Slight difference
Anyone spend time at WHRR? I hope to contribute something useful here eventually. |

Probably not me (been there, done that many times .. >10 years ago). But if you venture beyond SE Michigan, I highly recommend Gingerman and Grattan in western Michigan, or Putnam Park (my home track, back in the day) in central Indiana.
Grattan in particular is a track I love to hate, because it's so technical. Unlike other tracks, it doesn't flow so much as throw a gauntlet of driving challenges at you to overcome. Like an off-camber 180° with a steep downhill braking zone. Or (two turns later), a braking zone for a 90° turn immediately after a sharp crest. Or an uphill sweeper with a blind apex leading to a super-long straightaway. |

I have driven Grattan once in my last car and it was a blast! Trying to balance fast vs getting air right before the bowl was always tricky. I don't think I ever got the bus stop right ha ha.
I'll have to check it the others, thanks! |
