I was thinking what it would look like if those bars in the grill would have the colour of the body:
I think it tones down the grill a bit, but I don't know if it's good looking. Colouring the grill surrounding on the 4 works a bit better: |

'Ring Times?
I'm guessing 7:29 - 7:30 on Comp variant. What's the best time achieved on the current M3 CS again?

Getting strong sports sneaker vibes from that shape, color and all the black add-ons
Which isn't a bad thing per se - as car design inches closer to product design, cars look increasingly less like big heavy cumbersome metal blobs (which they basically are) and more like complex objects made of a variety of materials, enriched with intricate technical details, and yet an overall minimalistic cohesiveness with few colors and textures when viewed from a distance. |

G8X times should be close to that when shod with the optional PSC2.

The Exhaust is underwhelming to say the least.

189 inches long is huge and longer than I thought (I figured "only" 187 inches). Also, peak torque on the Competition models does not come on until 2750 so probably poor low end torque and laggy at low speeds. These cars are overpriced crap.

Based on the photos of the new G Series 2 Series, the M2 will also be longer so that means more weight as well. Plus no DCT transmission and production not in the mother country.

What I loved about pre F80 M3s, and to some extent love about my M2, is that it was a sporty monster cloaked in a classy looking coupe/sedan with just a hint of aggressiveness. Sorta like driving around in a secret weapon. Nothing classy about this design imo...just very bold and in your face. Not to say it's a bad thing, but it's not my preference and will take some getting used to. Grill talk aside, I also think it looks weird to have 19" tires on the front and 20" on the back. It's even worse having 18" up front and 19" on the back. The lack of symmetry really bothers my OCD lol.

Here I thought this was going to be, while ugly as hell, AT LEAST lighter and faster than the 2SS 1LE I bought. Sigh. I guess I made the right choice when the leaks first came out. At least there’s always the M340i.

That interior is miles above my F80 in terms of features and quality, very impressed. As for the outside... well, yeah...
The spec sheet says 285/30/20 in the rear but the demo vehicles are rocking a staggered wheel setup with 295/25/21 in the rear ... more power and less rubber? |

lower torque on an M3 is meaningless, I am only interested what happens on mid and high revs. I loved my S65 even though it had crap torque at lover revs.

I can see a lot of people doing this, decent contrast on a lighter colored car will make the difference more noticeable. I'm also sure IND and other vendors will come up with other creative ideas for those are heartbroken over the grilles.
