Armaspeed Carbon Fiber Intake Review:

Visual/ 10/10
Price: 9/10
Overall: 9.7/10

I’ll start by saying that this thing is gorgeous. I looked through all options and in my opinion, nothing came close visually to Armaspeed. I previously had their carbon intake on my MKV Supra and it was fantastic so I knew I’d keep a look out for their product on the G80 as well.

The G80 system is certainly many more pieces so I was worried about shipping. The packaging it arrived in was great (and very quick I might add). Everything was wrapped securely and all labeled very nicely.

The kit included very thorough installation instructions. This install took me about 25-30 minutes from start to finish. The fitment of everything was great and no having to “force” anything to work or fit like other brands I’ve seen.

This comes in priced at $1,580 I think it was with the radiator cover optional at an additional $300. I feel it isn’t cheap, but there will be more expensive competitors like Eventuri when they release. This is why I gave pricing an 9.5. - All the carbon and as many pieces are included, it’s certainly not expected to be cheap by any means. - I feel like it’s priced accordingly and in line.

The sounds it produces is glorious. Is nice to finally hear the induction of the turbos. This is how these cars should sound! Even under light partial throttle you hear them spooling! I just got the installation done last night so I was excited to share about. We have some rain the next couple of days, but I’ll be posting up some sound clips for you guys soon!

Overall, I highly recommend and would certainly buy again! These do not require tuning, so it’ll be plug n play and you’re ready to ride after install. Feel free to give me a shout if you have any questions!

Nice, planning on any dyno numbers? People are claiming these filter kits, some are worth 15-20hp?

I was going to do the downstar kit as well, but my car is San Marino. The different shades of blue would but me, and dont know if just have polished bolts is worth $200. Lol.

Man, that is gorgeous. That's the level of under-hood dress up I'm looking for right there. Pair with a CF engine cover (when will someone offer those...link me if people know of them...) and things would look incredible. Usually not much for the "show over go" mods (granted, maybe some slight gains but respect to the OP for being realistic about this and not expecting a thousand horsepower like K&N would have you believe) but these really improve the look under the hood, make it feel more special when I open the hood to connect the battery tender...

Edit: I googled, there looks to be an option out there for CF engine cover, but it's slightly different than factory, lacking the "BMW M POWER" lettering (which I love) and maybe with a bit smaller "///M" logo: https://autotecknic.com/products/aut...-m3-g82-g83-m4

SMB would be a tough one to match up to but the dress up kit does add that nice extra pop of color to the engine bay.

True, you might not see any gains, when the car is already making that much power.

For sure. I was able to remove the factory stuff and install the complete kit in 25-30 minutes.

Can pull the covers and filters out in 5 minutes or so.
