So I have always been one for air vent, Mounce, or the mounts the wedge into the panels. Now with magnetic wireless charging, and all of that, I was very torn on what to do because I did not want a large wireless charging mount.

This kind of happen by luck. I have a magbak wireless charging unit that fits on the corner of the screen in my Tesla model Y. Because of this, I am using the magbak case as well. It came with this little thin magnet that I figured how is that gonna hold anything anywhere, so it sat in the box for a while. When I finally got the M3, I decided to see if there was a good place to stick it and test of the phone with stay.

I have to say, I love the set up. It is only blocking the air vent volume controls, which I don’t really mess with and the hazards button which you can reach underneath the phone easily. I then have a very short 6 inch USB to lightning cable that perfectly plugs in straight into the phone when I need to charge.

So far, even with extreme canyon, driving or hard acceleration’s the phone has stay put and does not fly off the mount!!!

Went with this from amazon. Its ventmounted but has a stabilizer legs that prevent it from drifting down. A bit further out of the vent so the phone doesnt get too hot with the heater on

Is there any option like the Rennline that allows continued use of the MagSafe capabilities of the phone? I don't want to have to take me case off every night to charge my phone and according to their site with the steel plate on the back of the iPhone MagSafe capabilities are "interfered with". But I like how it's installed and also the look and function of the Rennline

Just figure out the size of that ball on the rennline mount and see if you can find a magsafe vent mount on aliexpress to swap it on, so you'll need both.

Just get the magbak charger and phone case. Vent mounts suck. Everytine I’ve used them they scratch up the vent plus you can’t use that vent.

I got this one, useful and is integrated very nicely into the dash, I think it looks even better than ProClip since it doesn't block anything!

Really thinking about getting this, but don't want to use the steel plate they give and block my wireless charging. I also don't want to spend another $85 on top of the $55 for the mount to upgrade to the induction charger just so that I can skip the plate and use the MagSafe built into the phone to hold it to the charger (don't really see the need to induction charge with a cord plugged into the mount when I can just plug into the bottom of the phone on the rare occasion I need it). Does it look possible to integrate a stronger magnet into the mount? I'm thinking if I can dissect the mount a bit and upgrade the magnet I can probably get it to hold the phone without the plate.

Awesome thread. ProClip still doesn’t have an update for the ‘23 and beyond models, so I’m going with the MagBak.

And the proclip for 2022 doesn’t work for 2023. I’ve tried.
