You sir are the star of the cycling thread with the mileage you racked up this year.
Thanks, but that's just my usual yearly mileage, give or take a hundred or so. I average 5k per year. A few of the other riders in my area hit 10k every year. My best year was 2018 with 5303. I should top that this year.

I'd have to go a long way to match that.

Impressive. Now i had to look up mine….had to do some research because this year i tracked partly on Cyclemeter and partly on Strava. I’m at 2,558 which is my most mileage ever but still only half of yours.

Perfect conditions today. Temps in the low 60s, hardly any wind. Lots of sunshine. I set a new average speed PR of 18.5MPH. One of those rides where I felt great the whole ride. They're rare these days.

I'm back in the gym for a transition back to pool season. Rehabbing my shoulder to get back to a target 1-1.5 mile swim. I'm doing a combination of weights and small swim yardage to see how my shoulder responds to the increased demands.

I know another rider who does that. Once winter sets in, he's done with riding even if a warm day comes along. He does strictly swimming once the bike gets put up.

I rode inside today to get my hundred for the week. But next year I need to mix things up a bit. I need to make more use of my sadly neglected rower and maybe do some planks and upper body stuff. My core strength is...well, it isn't. And that's the problem. I need to do a lot of work just to get to a decent starting point.

I just do some stretch exercises before grabbing the bike which is on a bike hanger in the garage ready for use, I even put a dust cover over it when it's in there

Been doing Zwift since the rain set in. Strange year where I have more miles on Zwift than I have outside. I hope this COVID thing is over soon. Hard to ride outside when most of the restrooms are locked due to COVID.

Yearly mileage goal met today. 100 miles per week for the year. I may add to this a bit just to break my own personal record of 5303 miles in a year.

Blast, I missed it. Hope it didn't go to waste. (Or should that be "waist?")

40 miles a day for 8 days straight is no easy thing. Looks like you're making good progress, though. Keep at it.

Haha i knew I'd find a cycling thread here!

I got into mtb couple of years ago but i have the fitness of a 40yo who has never done any sport in his life. Mtb is hard enough as it is.

For the winter months i went ahead and got myself a road bike, it's a very different sport but i like too (as long as i can find pretty spot to cycle to).

Do you guys have a training regimen suited for beginners? I'm trying to rack up miles hoping it'll help for this summer's MTB but I'm not sure how to go about it. Went for s ride yesterday for 20km/500m of elevation ( that's 13km/1600feets) but its a bit too time consuming to do as a training session midweek.

Hit the 5400 mile mark this year. Plus another 619 miles of walking. I only missed two days of hitting my 1 hour daily workout goal. One day was the day after my second COVID stick and the other was a day where I hurt my back and could barely move.

Did about 5 miles return ride, turned back before the farm as the heavens were gradually opening up, got back to the garage with just a drizzle.

Hello All,
Just bought my first BMW and joined this forum. I've been riding bikes since 1990. Just thought I'd say "hi." Glad to see so many people on here.

Great accomplishment!

Late to this one but love road riding getting 6,000-7,000 miles per year mostly solo. Would enjoy a few rides with TKDbilly's sisters or Lady Jane.

You guys are monsters with that kind of mileage. I’ve set a goal of 3,000 miles for myself this year. Nice Cervelo - deets on it?

Nothing too special other than what you see. Di2 components and Zipp 808 wheels to buy some speed.

Neet thread… Indy area cyclist, 6k miles per year… gravel and road racer still with affinity for Crits. Raced in college and have some great friends and memories on the bike.
