C63 hybrid reviews are out

Not looking great, to be honest. Too complicated and heavy it seems and missing the soul, like most modern cars

It does look good. Especially the review I saw in Matte black, but we buy these to drive and enjoy, not just look.

Most cars these days are too refined and heavy to be real fun driving. Even without batteries and hybrid powertrains. Sometimes I miss my old Peugeot 206 RC, at just over 2000lbs that thing was a blast to drive.

I wonder if the B58 could be squeezed into a Mini Cooper...?

I'm sure with the right amount of cutting and grinding, anything could be done

Mat Watson got a 3.03 0-60 and 11.21 1/4 mile time. So...all that extra power just made barely made up for the weight penalty vs. the M3 X-Drive.

The Merc looks good inside and out, however, going down to a 4cyl just kills it. Overall not much of a better performer either due to the increased weight for the electric motor. Will be interesting to see how well these sell.

First of all I own E63. I have seen the reviews. I like the looks but that’s subjective. Added weight is a joke. Honestly until complete spec leaked out couple of months ago I thought that they will be able to bring the weight down with 4cyl. They failed. Just as they have with AMG One. They expected it to be around 13-14 hundred KG ended up with 1800. It seems like with modern cars in order to get good looking, fast light one you need to have $500000 budget. Ridiculous.

Sounds like it's going to be very expensive. The base price is estimated @ $95K.

With options - it's going to be $110K+++ at least.

That's approaching M5 territory...and I'd rather have the V8

Sign of the times…

This car is an introduction to the next generation of new car enthusiasts.

Some 12 year old kid just made this there dream car. It’s there modern day e30 M3 or 190e.

Just like I see the occasional hot rods I see that come out on Sunday

I can't imagine resale market will be good for a car like this as out of warranty it would be a disaster if you have any issues and seeing it's a Mercedes it's probably going to have plenty of issues over its time. This car is in that murky, grey area of being way too heavy for ICE and not fast or efficient enough for a car that has EV weight. Strictly a car for AMG fans.

Heavier yet quicker has been a long-standing trend at this point, but 4600lbs is crazy. When the G80 first came out (what people called a heavyweight back then seems positively light now), most reviewers said that the car disguised its weight well. I'm not hearing/reading that of the new C63, which is concerning. Also has me worried about the next generation of M cars. I wonder if MB should have just gone full electric.

About to place an order for a G80 m3x

The sound is off-putting & it's prolly gonna be $110k

AMG has sold it's soul to the climate zealots, they need to fight hard.

I do not see one ounce of appeal over the RS5 or M3. The V8 was the main thing going for it.

Too heavy, too complicated, too disappointing (4 cyl), too many compromises and probably too expensive. It's shame!

I would own it at all

1) listen to that trash

2) I like the front end but it stops there

3) that wing looks childish

4) the interior is nice… probably it’s best attribute

5) square wheel setup is perfect
Cough cough bmw

But with that being said
The m has more soul, will be the better drivers car, the sound

I’m so happy I went with M power instead of the AMG

And this is coming from a guy who loved AMG’s

If a B58 fits, an S58 should too....

I've actually had trouble trying to find engine dimensions so point me to a link / resource if you have one or find one. I was actually looking this up the other day to see how much longer a B58/S58 is compared to an LS3....for, uh, reasons...
