So this process keeps getting stranger and stranger. Searched everywhere last night and couldn't find any threads on port of departure vs port of exit. Departure and exit are synonyms so it's strange they would have such different meaning in BMW production.

Called back the genius hotline just now any the associate said to his knowledge there is no difference. "Port of departure" is status 193 and my car is awaiting boat assignment.

So now I'm just more confused.
I honestly don't need the car anytime soon. I sort of just want it.
My only issue is that I want to unload my M340 while the used car market is still hot and I won't sell it until the M3 is on a boat.

I have a confession to make. I have a whole list of other M3s on myGarage I found by plugging in random production numbers. I added them and sorted by production date so I feel less alone being stuck at the port along with the rest of them and can check on all of them at the same time. The earliest production date I have in there is from early April

All of them lol. 5/6 of them flipped to in transit the day I did (June 13th). And then mine went back to port the next day, and the rest of them followed back to port, but the day after mine.

How long did it take you guys to arrive "at the port" after being dispatched from factory? This is day 3 for me and that seems a little long for a 6-9 hour drive (? hours by train) to any of the ports or Krefeld distribution center. I guess I'm just worried they're taking my car to Russia

After a couple of weeks at the port, my car finally shipped. I called BMW Genius, and they told me it is on the Virgo Leader which is going to California and suppose to get there on the 17th of July. By the time I get the car, it will almost have been exactly a year since I placed my order haha.

Here is the timeline of events for me:

Yeah, I would. I thought mine was just moving ports but then I called and found out that wasn't the case.

Took me 2 weeks lol, I thought the same thing at the time. I turned out to be sent to Zeebrugge. And before this turns into a heated argument like it did yesterday. I switched to in transit yesterday evening, spoke with the Genius 15 min ago, and he told me I am on the Orion Leader and was loaded on 22nd. OL left Bremerhaven on 16th and Zeebrugge on 22nd, so it's safe to say that that's where my car was. Its headed to Port Hueneme.

(Ps, it's a F90, not G80/82. Don't know if that makes any difference)

I'm a bit shocked; the vehicle was at the port for 10 days.
