work order opened on 1/13 today makes about 2 weeks since the work order opened. I am at Brunswick port in Georgia, let me know if anybody else is at the port.

My car just got there today. When it landed, it did NOT have a stop sale. It hasn’t flipped from in transit to at port yet but as soon as it does, I’m sure I’ll find out if I have the stop sale. I’ll update tomorrow.

I am new here.
Order 530i on 16 Dec
Went into production on 19 December
Arrived to the Port in Bremhaven on 23 January.
Just found out today that there is a stop sale due to the radio module.
When I initially ordered I was told 8-10 weeks however it sounds like process may take longer. Should I be asking for a reduction in price should this extend past March ???

Hey man...Congrats on the new car. Sorry to hear about the stop sale. So yes, I would definitely ask for some kind of good will from BMW on the delay. But are you likely to get anything? Nope. From what I have seen, BMW isn't offering good will discounts right now even on cars that have been stuck for months. I do think you may be able to leverage discounts on dealer installed accessories though. Do you want winter mats? License plate from? Trunk mat? Try to leverage a deal on those.

Now here is the good news. The RAM stop sales seem to be flowing through pretty well right now. I think most people are waiting like 3 or 4 weeks. Chec out the threads specific to the VPC your car will be going to so you can see that other's experiences are like.

Here's the timeline of my car which had the audio amplifier stop-sale:

2/3 - Arrived at port Hueneme
2/9 - Work order started
2/10 - Work order closed
2/12 - Arrived at the dealership

Seems like things are going quick now, at least on the west coast. Another person had their RAM stop-sale clear in a day as well.

Okay so mine is coming to Baltimore. Did you find out the information on your work order from BMW Genius?

My CA kept me up to date on the work order/stop sale. I called genius a few times when I didn't feel like pestering him, but they didn't have any extra information.

I'm in the UK awaiting an X5. My car was manufactured in Spartanburg after some delays (22 Dec 2021) and shipped to the "UK". Apparently it got sent via Germany for the RAM module (Bowers & Wilkins sound). Sat at the VPC from Jan 24th and was fitted March 9th. Apparently the RAM module shortage has got worse (according to BMW UK customer services).

I assume the modules are universal and are allocated globally so shortages are also global.

I purchased a 2022 G80 m3 xDrive and has been at the port (193 - i assume in Germany) since November 2021 for the RAM module retrofit. The status has switched from open to closed last week Monday the 21st but no updates from the dealership as yet. I sent a text to my SA showing the change in status but his system isn't showing that update as yet.

How long after you guys' work orders has been completed have you got an update on shipping?

Sore subject for some of us. Went to in transit a few days later then back to port a week after that
