I’m finally getting around to posting my build. After taking advantage of the positive equity in my 2020 x3m comp, I decided it was time to get back into an m3. I jumped on my dealers wait list back in June 2022 and received an allocation in December 2022 for a 2023 week 7 build. Took delivery back in March, but let’s get to the good stuff. Here are the specs, current progression and some photos. Special build as my 4 year old son chose the exterior and interior color, Enjoy!

Best I've heard a G80 sounding tbh. Awesome car and build man. That's a bold color combo!

Beautiful build man! Made me fall in love with the M3 all over again, and I have one in the garage, LOL!!

It does make me regret not going individual, I love lighter BMW blues like voodoo/enzian/miami/misano blue, etc... I thought Portimao was dynamic enough to not go individual but when I see these builds it does make me a little jelly.

Very nice. two things I don't get.

BMW 100K car, why do they continue to make it sound terrible, I don't think there is much improvment with autowerks exhaust.

The manual shifter is really ugly, loss of performance aside, why not replace it with something more cool. Something Ferrari does.

Also a car that is tested at autobahn speeds, far higher than it will ever see in USA, and unless you're going off-roading, I doubt, why would you get this heavy guard up front? If it's low avoid potholes.

Aside from that great car, love the combo

Looks more like Porsches shark blue. Colors with same names but different shades are so confusing

Thank you fellas 🙌, blue wouldn’t have been my first choice, but glad the little guy picked it. The squiggly piping is active autowerkes equal length midpipe. My favorite that I’ve heard in person so far.

Funny thing is I hated the front end with a passion when I first saw the leaked photos. It eventually grew on me, but liked the CSL grille at first sight.

Funny you mention that, I believe shark blue is the closest example from any other manufacturer.

LOL don’t worry, it still happens to me, I fall in love with a new color every other day. I appreciate the kind words! In regards to your passion for other blues, there’s always next time! I love PB, I think it’s super dynamic.

Thank you! I finally settled on this exhaust setup and don’t regret it, I highly recommend the equal length midpipe.

I agree, BMW’s twin turbo cars aren’t the greatest sounding, but I did what I could to improve it. I’m coming from a supercharged Range Rover v8, v6, & e90 m3, hence my mission to modify the sound of this car lol

The shifter isn’t the most beautiful but it’s practical, works well and has heritage to its design. There are lots of aftermarket parts as options.

Believe it or not, I already hit the oil cooler, it doesn’t take much. Luckily it was a small nick, but nevertheless, I’m not taking any chances the next time.
