South FL (Tri-County area) post up, re: insurance
Just got my State Farm renewal and they raised my rates almost 20% from the previous policy.
Post up your insurance company and if you have a good referral. After 30+ years, it’s time to make a change. |

I also have State Farm and have been with them for @ 40 years with household and 2 vehicles. My policy just bumped up to $2,850 yearly on the M4 which is an increase, but less than I expected since they replaced my first M4 last year.
Unfortunately the increases are across the board industrywide. I hope you hit the insurance lottery.

I think every insurance is up massively from last year. Though I hate State Farm and Allstate specifically. I would try a local agent who can run your numbers through a lot of different providers to find you the best rate with the best coverage.
Mine got me to Nationwide who I've been quite happy with. I'm at around $2000/year. |

After not accepting me when I got my 22 M4 I tried Hagerty again just a few weeks ago and they accepted me. I think initially I had put down too many miles for their liking but since owning the car 1.5yrs I've only driven it about 4500 miles so I put 5k down as mileage (Which ironically I had on my standard Geico insurance)
Give them a try. I saved about $1200/yr switching from Geico to Hagerty and I have guaranteed value coverage. But also make sure you understand their limitations on storage, driving limitations etc (can only drive for car related things except for "pleasure" driving which is a bit vague in my opinion)

I don't have any experience with auto claims, but I don't imagine the experience is any better. I've heard tons of horror stories about Allstate and State Farm alike. |

I was in a bad car accident in 2008 ($185k in medical bills including a surgery for an artificial cervical disk). It was not my fault, but State Farm treated me like I was scum, I don’t know why I stayed with them.

Yeah I don't think I've heard a single good experience besides those that have never had to actually utilize services. Nationwide has treated me fantastically so far, zero questions asked through claim and diminished value reimbursement the entire time. |

State Farm is the worst. Mother's house has a flood from a broken water filter. 1.5 years later they are fighter her on everything. Allstate has been great to us. Daughter had 2 accidents and they paid up right away and our rates never went up.

Same Issue with State Farm in SFL. Increases last year and another this year. Only with them bc of bundle with home which makes it worth it. For now.
Last 6 mo. Policy was $900/6 mo. This year up to $1060. Still not bad but trending up. That’s just the M3 portion on a 2 car policy.

Careful. I’m a lawyer, Allstate is awful when you have a claim. I’m with State Farm and mine just got bumped about 15%. I’ll pay more and know they will do the right thing should I ever need them (based on past experiences). I must note that I’m talking about auto insurance only. I don’t have SF for the house.

Wow. My experience was the exact opposite and Allstate represented the at-fault party. They were bad. Sounds like experiences are pretty inconsistent based on what this group is saying.

200 a month or 2400 a year. That is cheap for SF. What are the limits of liability, collision coverage, and deductibles? I’m paying about 275 a month, but I have all the optional stuff along with a low deductible and OEM coverage.

not sure about the deductible but this is for full coverage. granted we have like 6 other cars in the policy right now and my dads been with them for over 30 years i guess thats why its so cheap

I think you are correct. SF multi-car discounts are substantial.

Currently have 23 GX 460, (M3 coming soon), and for 1 car, its $1316 for 6 months. This is American Family Insurance through Costco. Got a quote from Progressive for identical coverage and they want $950 per month!! Got a quote from Geico, again identical coverage and its $3150 for 6 months! I had one claim last year, when my previous car was hit while parked. I live outside of Tampa.
Last year, had 21 Lexus IS350 and 21 X5 M50i, and both cars were $1076 for 6 months through Costco. The quote for the M3 is $1402 for 6 months. |
