What I'm trying to say is you might get away with a pad slap but most likely not its brakes and rotors
Those dinky little pads in the back wear out the whole rotor? I hope not

They definitely don't wear the entire thing they create lips around the edges or grooves across the pad contact patch and to machine them out you would mill the rotor under specifications. So as i said pad slap or replace if they measure above spec at the thinest spot. But correctly matched steel pads will eat the rotor down to prevent high spots from material one the rotor. See below and the f80 rear pad size is not bigger then the g80 That is a lipped rotor

Maintenance plans are some of the dealers highest margin items for a reason. Just pay for the maintenance as it comes up.

Actually no CP is the highest gross of a dealer service department. Then maintenance plans and last warranty work.

If you trade your car in 1,2 pay for it cash.

front brakes $1,500 every 50-70k
Rear brakes $1,400 every 30-50k
Tune up $900 every 30k
Rear diff $550 every 50k
cabin filter $190 every 20k
air filter $270 every 30k
wipers $75 every 10k

A 5yr 75,000 is about $3,200

Let me know if CP adds up for a daily driver

Customer pay - highest gross and money maker

Prepaid maintenance - locked in at current prices even if inflation raises prices higher in 3-4-5yrs. Plus its discounted because you invest in it upfront.

Warranty- lowest gross usually for a dealership.

Most that keep there cars past 36k will benefit from a maintenance plan it just depends how long you keep the car
