Advice on which options and colors cause delay

Hi - New member here. I am contemplating an order for an M3 Comp Xdrive and may be able to snag a Sept build. As I play around with specs, is there a guide to options and/or colors that are believed to be pushing build weeks back - for example, it seems that certain leather colors (like Fiona and Fjord) are being treated as Individual builds and causing delays along with carbon buckets.

Are there other items that are just being taken out of builds or entirely unavailable because of supply issues? My wife's M440 conv is missing some features with credits showing on the window sticker and shortly after we got her car last fall, touchscreens started to disappear.

It has been several different things (PA package, Carbon bucket seats) in the past months but things have gotten better. At least in the past, no one was able to zero in the exact factor as every build might see different issues.

There were a few threads way back that tried to find a common pattern or feature that caused delays. Some thought it was carbon buckets. Others claimed the carbon exterior package. However there appears to be no rhyme or reason.

My order is pretty basic, but I got the Fjord blue interior and that seems to have push my build week to 38.

Thanks - I certainly will not be ordering buckets. At 6'3" and 220 I can't imagine them being comfortable for me in a daily driver.

I am considering either Fjord or Fiona full leather though.

That's a much more difficult question. Likely Alpine, Brooklyn or Skyscraper.

Those colors won't be a problem because they're all standard. No delays due to paint.

I did frozen white, Fiona red interior, and parking assist and had no delays and took 3.5 months from order to receiving the car. This was at the end of last year where everyone was saying parking assist was delaying. So who knows what actually causes delays……I think it is all the luck of the draw.
