The Bluetooth OBDII module they recommend is on sale on Amazon for $39.95. Don't even know what I can code but for that price I want it. Limited time only apparently.

Yes. Only functions when you have automatic high beams enabled (below the BC button on your left stalk).

The first thing I did after receiving that part from Amazon was to disable the front seatbelt warnings. Everyone knows they need to wear a seatbelt in my car - no nannies required. Now I can have my dog up front without having to buckle the seatbelt behind him. Totally worth it

For the anti-dazzle feature if someone were to code this to the car and there's a dealer visit or firmware update does it reset the car back to factory default? That would be annoying to go through the process all over again.

You will lose it when you install new idrive software updates. Will have to be coded again.

I had it remote coded on my g20 and it was reset by OTA update a month later. Updates reset everything on my car back to factory.

Did you have to pay to get it coded back, or have you even redone it, since?

He said he would do it for free one time within the first year. I haven't reached back out to him yet. Think cost was around $150 if I remember correctly and he sent a cord and I had to borrow a PC to use for the remote coding. Overall was a nice experience, but OTA updates I feel are too frequent to have it make sense for me.

Does anyone know if we have the option to do force illuminated braking?

i.e. parts of the tail lights flash when applying >70% braking force.

You can disable in IDrive settings, but yes, that is risk.

Also possible to add options via ConnectedDrive store.

You can adjust the type of brake display as well as triggering parameters in BDC.

Idk if it is old

If you code the interior ambient colors in Bimmercode and they do not come up, it is under going to be Under "Bronze color" in your menu after having coded it.
I guess since it says default Bronze in Bimmercode.

I would not try the Instrument cluster options - all suck compare to the default and You'll have to Backup to the default as there "The Standard" is NOT for M3/4

Where is the OBDII port in the G80 M3? I opened the little compartment under left to the steering wheel, is it hidden in there somewhere?
Thanks

In M4 it is a bit depressed on the surface, but there is no cover.

Right at the angle of the dash and the sidewall
If you are in seat it literally -as fas as you can reach - kinda place

May be possible with advanced coding but it's currently not a Bimmercode pre-packed setting for the G20/80 cars.

All need some help/recommendations here....I've never coded, period, with Bimmercode....I have the app on my phone and ipad, but what adapter should I buy? The aapp recommends quite a few, and just want to know what is recommended by everyone here for the G80...price isn't an issue for me, just want whatever the best adapter is based on your recommendations.

Thanks!
