Hello folks,
Just joined the M gang with my Isle of Man Green M3 Comp after 2 years of ownership of the X3 M40i. It was my dream to own a real M car and finally got one So far I'm liking it!

Congratulations!!! Hopefully we'll see you at an upcoming event. We also have a FB group for owners in the triangle if you're interested.

Did you guys do any mods to your G8Xs? I'm planning the following mods:

Midpipe (oem axle back and DPs)
Exhaust flap controller
Spacers
CSL yellow DRLs
Maybe intake

I don't plan to spend a fortune for these mods. Therefore I'm looking for bang for the buck brands. Not the most expensive but quality ones 😅

Congratulations! Great to have another G8x in the area! LOVE IOMG when I first saw in person.

Immediately after delivery I had PPF/ceramic. The next week it went to NRP for mods. The crew walked me through options and I did the MAD midpipe (stock DP and stock axle back-love the additional midpipe notes), M performance HAS, spacers, and Eventuri intakes. Great first set of mods. Let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you!
I'm planning MAD midpipe as well.
A few questions about your mods:
-What wheel and tire sets are you running on? and what spacers you went with? Any rubbing?
- After the intake installation, does it require any software change/update to get the best out of it?
- Where did you do the PPF/ceramic? I googled and found Auto Lust having very high reviews and they quoted me $1400 for partial PPF (full front bumper, hood, front portion of the roof, and side skirts)

I have stock Michelins 19/20 with 12f/15r spacers. MPHAS is full drop in front and about halfway down in back. Other set ups will go lower but I copied the look from NRPs MPHAS install video. No rubbing so far but I’ve been conscious about taking aggressive, sharp turns in reverse.

As for the intakes, I don’t believe any software changes were needed. NRP did an install video if you need more detail on the process. They look fantastic and sound good. Not nearly as loud as open intakes like MST (those are sweet! see NRPs install video on those too) but work for my taste.

I went to TVP for PPF & ceramic. Happy so far and only time will tell on how it all holds up. I hand wash the car regularly and the PPF/ceramic makes it so much easier than our vehicles that don’t have it. Sorry, I don’t share prices but if you get a couple quotes, you’ll feel better about your price.

Enjoy the mods and see you around!

I'll be at NRP tomorrow from 1030-until getting my new kindey grill's installed. I haven't been to the shop yet so looking forward to it. I have the MAD mid-pipe, 10F 12R spacers, JB4, Fuel-it kit, BMS drop in filters. I'm about to swap my rear 12mm spacers for 10mm spacers. There was no rubbing I just want a square setup. And I ordered some ACER 35mm Titanium Lug bolts and 10mm spacers it the limit on that lenght bolt. So I will have a set of MAD 12mm spacers with Lug Bolts cheap if anyone needs them. On the car couple weeks so like new.

Hi Stephen, you have only 2 spacers, right? the ones you will take off from the rear. I need 4 spacers (for the front and the rear).

He quoted me $2200 for less areas than that.
