Better question will be if the CS modules can be purchased either from BMW *alibaba…
The fit between the led modules and the light pipes is very tight. LED's get very hot. You can imagine how that goes. If you doubt me do it yourself

What about applying heat resistant translucent paint to the part of the light bars closest to the LEDs? If film is melting, I'd think that's the only way to get the color of the light bars to change, short of replacing the entire light bar with a colored unit.

Sidenote: I remember back in my F01 days, everybody trying to get the yellowish angel eyes to look "led white"

On my e90 I hated the stock faded off white eyes. Changed them to HID style blue/white. That was the thing then, but then I quickly Went a different route and got PIAA Yellow bulbs for a bold yellow color!

So I was thinking a small piece of the lighting gels used in stage lighting. They are made to get super hot and not melt or fade.

Never has a Username been more appropriate.

Stage lighting gel is actually a great idea, as long as it's the real deal. I've seen the cheap gels melt too.
