2022 M4 comp availability.

What is the chances that dealer may be able to get hold of 2022 M4 comp?. The reason I ask is I do not like that new dash on the latest models.

Sure if someone trades theirs in. New - no chance.

There might still be some 2022 stock in dealer showrooms. Last quarter they were the ones with the biggest discounts, especially in individual colours.

Check AutoTrader and look at the individual cars. I think the discounts have reduced a little due to manufacturer support being reduced but there are still some around.

They will be the ones with the M4 Competition logo in the centre console and the door jamb.

However, mine is a 2023 build (July 2022) and it still has ID7.

I've just seen what could be the fist ID8 M4 on AT.

There are still some idrive 7 xdrive cars new around. The switchover to idrive 8 was phased later than the M3. Just took delivery of my xdrive with idrive 7 (like you I'm not fussed on the idrive 8 screen looks awful) - from Sytner Cardiff. Had a great deal. There where quite a few available and were selling literally like hot cakes, I missed out on 3 before getting my car.

Yes they also had idrive 8's coming through in the showroom, but not discounted.

Just get a 2023 M4 they still have the Idrive7 display and dash. So far only the M3 and M2 have the new Idrive8. The 2024 M4 should be getting the new screen.

Oh no they don't! New build (certainly in UK) from around Jan is ID8!! Assume it's global!!

EDIT: your country's build website shows ID 8 too!!

My July 2022 built MY23 M4 came with ID7.
MY24 won’t be for a few months yet and they are already producing MY23 M4s with ID8.

Seen two already.

Ahh okay, must be a mid year refresh then. Haven’t seen a 23 with the new dash, only with idrive7. But I’m in the US.

Our country build is for MY24. So it has updated the dash.

Yeah. They’re called “insert season” model update measures. In this case Spring. So not an LCI as such but introduction of new tech, revised engine line ups, trim upgrades etc.
