2024 BMW M3 Competition xDrive vs 2022 M3

Hey All!

Just got my new 2024 M3 comp Xdrive! Fully loaded with everything but the high speed unlock package!

I did a little comparison video (watch on my YouTube channel) and tiny review vs my old 2022 G80 M3!

If you guys want me to do a full blow review of everything that is different from the old version and if it's worth it to upgrade let me know!

Many years from now the 22’ interior will be sought after on the same level as the no hump E9x’s of today.

The new screen is fine, removing many of the physical buttons are not.

Had a 2022 M3C with the iDrive 7 screens and now have a 2024 X5 M60i with the new iDrive 8.5 screens. Love the newer screens and updated version of iDrive. Still not a fan of the way the screens are implemented onto the dashboard and do miss some of the physical buttons. In the end though, much prefer iDrive 8.5 and the new screens.

Or it will be looked at as an anachronism and made fun of by Doug DeMuro.

I like both screens but given how easy it is now to redesign the screens i think they will change quickly resulting in our potentially looking old fast.

Recently drove a XM and the screen is implemented cleaner. More integrated than looking like it is just placed on the dash.

The classic displays and buttons I think will be loved and IMO never get old. The buttons IMO fut this type of performance car better.

I recently drove an i4 M50i loaner with the new screens. Not too shabby. I couldn't figure out how to configure the home screen to show all the relevant info like I can in iDrive7 (Tire Pressures/Temps, M Settings, Boost/Hp(for fun) though. Maybe in the G8X it's configurable?

I really missed the memory buttons though. It's almost useless as it's own screen now. The whole point is I just want instant access to it.

I like the resolution and graphics on the new screen better, but I like the physical layout of the screen better on the old model.
