M-mode and cruise control.

Today I learned that you can’t use cruise control while in Sport M-mode. Not sure what display setting has to do with CC. Seems silly. I’m pretty sure I could use CC in any mode on my F80.

Not so much the display but more like the fact that TC and SC can be disabled in that mode depending on what you choose and you don’t want that with cruise control on due to safety reasons

Lane assist is disabled when you go into sport m-mode so acc won't work.

So is Driver Assist Pro. Turn it on and it takes you out of M-Mode. Annoying but I really don’t need the tach while in DAP so not a big deal.

Some of the issues with Idrive8 could be resolved with a simple software update. I wonder if BMW would be responsive to feedback.

I don’t think this has anything to do with iDrive8. My 22 X3M had iDrive 7 and did the same thing. I’m sure there is a reason as to why it does this but its not related to the iDrive version.

The issue is why can you only see the tach and current gear in the HUD while in m-mode sport? If they put that into its own setting, then this whole M-mode thing (kinda) makes sense. Currently, most of us go into m-mode sport simply for the HUD view. This whole feature wasn’t well thought out.
