This has been discussed ad nauseum here. Pulls up to 5500rpm (what the manual states) are fine, one pull past it is also fine.

Don't worry about it.

Downpipes are not worth it if you like your warranty. You can get fantastic sound from just a midpipe swap and increase volume of that with an axleback swap. Dealers and BMW won't care one bit about those two things.
