Why not more Sport+ options?

Why don’t all set up options include sport+?

Because steering and brakes generally have two feelings on them. It’s like this on most cars. Easy steering and tighter, no in-between as it’s not really necessary to have any kind of middle ground on those for real usability. Audi does have an Auto for steering where it’ll flip between Dynamic (tighter) and Comfort (easier), but it’s never a combo of the two. It’s one or the other based on certain conditions but it gets annoying when you’re at the different extremes. Same for the brakes really… it’s either going to be super responsive and grabby or seem a little more relaxed on the brake engagement point.

I disagree on the steering…
I wouldn't change Comfort or Sport, but would add a Sport Plus that has the same effort as Sport but removes a lot of the isolation.
BMW has chosen to calibrate into the ePAS a lot of isolation which damps out the road imperfections very well, avoids a ‘fidgety’ feel to the steering and makes Comfort great for cruising, but also very effectively minimizes the communication on what the front tires are actually doing.

On my F80 you can change all settings to Sport+, just surprised they limited it on the G80 for whatever reason. Subtle changes from normal, sport to sport+ would have been easy enough.

I find it curious that the reviewers like to complain about all the various settings.
I think it is one of the cars best attributes.
It can set to Camry or Feral Beast with the toggle of a paddle on the steering wheel or tuned to something in between depending on the road conditions and my needs.
It is unfortunate that the steering only gets heavier, not more communicative.

Literally no reason to put the steering in Sports mode. It just makes the steering heavier without providing any additional feedback.

But hey, if you're skipping an arms day at the gym, try it anyway.......
