Yes! There is a very significant difference between these tires.

The MPS4S* (note the * symbol) tire was specifically developed by Michelin in direct collaboration with BMW for the G8x. It provides fantastic grip when up to temperature and still retains acceptable performance in the wet.

You can only get it in the G8x original spec tire size which is 275/35 front and 285/30 rear.

Got to look at my car and it looks amazing

really happy with the spec. I did get the pzero tho so that unfortunately a bit of a disappointment but whatever. Also I order a sun roof and it came with the carbon roof which I found funny but I'm not complaining. Otherwise very excited about picking it up tomorrow 😁

Congrats! But how do they screw up an option as big as a sunroof instead of a carbon fiber? I would be kinda mad!

So I double check the build sheet and the BMW site and it was never on the sheet and never noticed until now. I know I told them I wanted it but they didn't add it to the build sheet and I missed it. Well, what can you do

As far as I'm aware the car had no stop sales and sailed through everything like butter. No issue with my car. Went to qa super fast and went through import, VPC and to dealership in the same week.

Finally picked it up yesterday. One hell of a car. Couldn't be happier. Seats are just killer. Hit those bumps in the road with the dealership but got them ironed out finally.

My car is on the way to me right now it's on a boat but it's doing circles lol! It's scheduled to be in Charleston for PCD on the 4th and Baltimore on the 23rd of feb… I think it's scared to go across the ocean after hearing about the unfortunate Porsche and Volkswagen ship haha!!

My M4 is also on the Hawaiian Highway, it appears to be returning to port. Not a good sign.

Yeah I saw that but I just talked to Bmw customer service this morning! it's still on track for the 4th though because I called them about a week ago for a status update in instead of Genius because my car hadn't moved in over a month from port! But it looks like it's doing a sprint towards land so that has been kind of concerned as well!

I think they do load boats on weekends (if one is available), but I'm almost positive that they don't update their systems during the weekends.
