How did the install go and did all the hardware come with the skid plate? Can you confirm this fits on a G80 M3? Send pics if possible and any tips for the install. Thanks again for the info.

It's a fabrication shop not an online store, shipment is almost here.

Dont need an online store for paypal payments, will wait for a few more testimonials to see if it’s legit.

I live in South Florida only minutes away from Southeast Coating and Fabrication, so I decided to call them directly to inquire. I spoke to the owner, Paul, who is an incredibly nice guy and happens to be a G87 M2 owner himself. I arranged to head there today and had the pleasure of meeting Paul in person. Paul and his team fabricate these lightweight and durable oil cooler guards themselves and he was packaging one up securely in a slim wooden crate to ship out to a buyer. Paul recognized that many of the options on the market are either overpriced or not protective enough. He crafted one for his own vehicle and began offering them to customers shortly thereafter. It is a quality piece of kit and Paul was also kind enough to help me install it. He also plans on introducing a version for the F8X platform in the very near future.

The oil cooler guard is laser cut from .125 6061 ALUMINUM and powder coated in a very durable textured black. The oil cooler guard installs in minutes and requires ZERO modification to the underside of your vehicle. The kit comes with replacement screws, washers and spacers and did not conflict with my M Performance Front Splitter in any way.

I highly recommend reaching out to Southeast Coating and Fabrication to protect your oil cooler, so I’ve added their contact info below:

How does this look from the front of the vehicle at a distance? Is it as noticeable as the Mishimoto? I was strongly considering the Zunsport but I like how flush this looks.

Only thing with this I'd be somewhat concerned about is the new lower "lowest point" being that bridging metal piece that sticks out (I'm assuming for support).

I like the Zunsport still because it doesn't lower the clearance of the car at all, unlike the Mishimoto.

Yeah that little metal piece was my only concern with this one. I dont want to see anything hanging down and I also wasnt a fan of the Mishimoto.

Cutoff wheel = no more piece sticking out. But ya must be there for support. The mishimoto is still lower.

The pic from the facebook post above does not have the metal tab hanging down like eric325ci’s pic. Not sure why the difference or whats its doing. Maybe Eric can chime in and shed some light if its optional or what its for ?

People keep talking a lot the Mishimoto and how it hangs lower. Has anyone actually had an issue with it?

Zero issues. It hangs probably 1/2 inch lower. Not more. Great protection.

Pardon my incursion into this forum, but I have the Mishimoto on my G87 and have yet to scrape on anything in the few weeks I’ve had it on.

Yea same. I am thinking lowering maybe about 10 mm but I just don’t see that it will be an issue with mild lowering. Maybe if u went very aggressive it could.
