Brake fluid level?

Guys,

I just replaced my brakes pads with ebc reds. My car only has 600 miles so I didn’t have to compress the pads at all. I did forget to open the brake reservoir. Anyways, I took a look at the level and it seemed very high, actually it was above the max level. I took a syringe and removed a bunch. Wanted to get your take on this. First pictures are when I first looked and second ones are after. It’s real hard to tell the level from the lighting.

Both sets of pads are basically new and if they are the same thickness you should be right on with the original amount of fluid. I wouldn't remove or add anything unless there is a difference in the pad thickness.

It just seems like a lot of fluid and it was above the max line. The was concerned it would overflow.

You’re gonna end up below the min line as your pads wear.

I don’t think u needed to remove anything. Especially if pads were essentially same thickness.
I don’t think opening master cylinder is needed for what u did.
