Starting a thread to track the Grand Pearl if anyone else is on it! Currently headed to Southhampton UK, then on its way to CA!

How long were you at port before you found out you're on grand Pearl? Also, did Genius confirm you're on the GP?

The GP has been sitting in English Channel for the last 24 hours…anybody know why? Wondering if it is weather related, or if they need “clearance” to begin route? Not a maritime expert…anybody have any ideas?

Yeah, the date it was supposed to go through the Panama Canal got pushed back by 4 days so they are just anchored there for now. They’re supposed to get through the canal on the 24th

But the 24th arrival date was always the schedule from when it left Southampton. They have burned 3 days in harbor since then. It’s not clear to me if these 3 days are part of the original schedule, or is this a delay which will eventually impact the 24th arrival schedule.
One way to determine I guess is since they are still in UK as of 3/13 local time, can a ship like this get to Panama in 11 days? I have no idea… |

My car finished production on 1/19 and showed "at the port" this entire time. Started calling the genius line end of February, they told me the car was not at the port but couldn't really tell me where it was or why it had been well over a month since it finished production. Car finally got to the port on 3/1 and now on the Grand Pearl as of 3/7.
I have no idea how they determine what boat things go on because my dad decides to buy an M8 a month after my M3 finished production and his is already through the Panama Canal and on its way to California while mine just got on a boat. And no one can seem to tell me why mine is taking forever. And as if California isn't already far enough mine will also have to be loaded onto a boat for another 2 weeks to Hawaii. I'm running out of patience! I ordered the car in August 2021 and my dealer was not given an allocation for 3 months in a row so this has been a long, painful process… And the BMW garage still says I'm at the port, so does genius line. Found out through my dealer it finally got on the Grand Pearl. |

I ordered in July of last year. M3’s are the most sought after cars at the moment. M8’s are a dime a dozen. You can still find them at discount on showroom floors which is wild. Waitlists are absolutely bonkers for an M3 ATM
