Got off phone with genius, said car was just accepted by vpc, no truck assignment yet, but scheduled to leave vpc on 8th with arrival at bmw temple 9th.


I know damages can happen during the voyage across the sea, but will genius tell you if asked?

Seems reasonable if they get moving. I have been watching as my car just went to "at the port" after coming off the Horizon Highway, but I haven't seen any transport trucks arrive yet... not much overall movement since they were offloaded from the boat.

You can see them lined up in this snap picture.

yea Genius just told me mine won't leave VPC til the 10th. I think maybe the holiday possibly slowed the process for us

Still no movement at the VPC and Genius says my car is scheduled to leave on a truck on Saturday 7/9 and to the dealer on Sunday 7/10 when they are closed. Booooo, so close yet still more waiting! Hey, anybody here work at the Galveston BMW VPC?

When my car arrived at Galveston, Genius said my car would be picked-up at the VPC on 6/10, delivered to the dealer on 6/12 (Sunday) and that I could pickup on 6/13.

I called the trucking company and they said they would deliver same day (6/10).

Dealer said they needed a day to get the car ready. I pushed and picked up the afternoon of 6/10.

With a bit of luck you can probably pickup your car on 7/9.

I hope that is the case! I'm in the same boat, or rather off the same boat, as a couple of you other folks.

I was told Sunday also. Here's to hoping for Saturday!

Side note, the camera has not been very good for observing VPC movement today, haha.

Would you mind providing the trucking company contact number so I can look into my car transport plan. I’ve been told it will leave Galveston on Friday the 8th and arrive Saturday 9th.

Hansen & Adkins was the trucking company that transported my car, but I don't know if they are the only ones doing it. Yours could be different. Best to call Genius and ask them what company is transporting your car.

Genius said there is a trucking shortage? They also said my car would be at the port in Germany for 1-2 months, and it was only there for 5 days. Don't put a lot of faith in them lol

Yeah I am not to sure that BMW Genius knows what is going on either because I emailed them yesterday get status on mine and this is the response I received:
