No more individual colors for MY2024?

Just heard from two dealers that you can’t get individual colors for MY2024 M3’s as of today anymore. Is it true?

Sounds like you're talking to lazy dealers. Maybe calbears can comment?

M3s are getting close to that time. No more for MY24 M4, M8, X5/X6/X7

It is because they are getting ready for the switch over to MY25. Individual colors will become available for order again.

Are they also going to start reducing allocations for FY24? Does anyone know when that is since the builds take 4-6months and FY25 M3/M4 orders start in July?

Right, but isn’t MY25 switchover in July for the M3? Just want to confirm if I can still order an individual MY24 still.

Yes, that will be the switch over but they cut the ability to order individual colors several months before due the lead times/delays involved with those.

I originally thought the M3 cutoff was April, but I’ve spoke to two dealers who said they just got word today but another dealer said they haven’t heard anything. Do you have any insight on what’s going on?

calbears said no more for M4, M8, and X5/6/7, but M3 are "getting close to that time" which means you should still be able to get one for MY24 for an M3.

Hi all. Just created a profile and joined the forum to specifically learn more about this deadline. I was wondering if anyone can elaborate on "fast approaching", any more specifics possible as far as timeline/dates are concerned?

Reason I ask is because I'm currently waitlisted for a G80 M3, expecting an allocation at the end of Feb '24 based on what my CA has said. Would really like to get an individual color on a MY24 because I'm really not wanting to end up with the non-lasers expected with the refresh. According to the dealership, I should have a build date by the April/May timeframe and MY25's are expected to start in June (not sure how accurate that info is).

Thoughts? Likelihood of being able to get an individual color on a MY24 if allocation received end of Feb? Should I instead be frantically looking for an open allocation elsewhere right away maybe?

Thanks!

I asked my dealer 14 days ago to submit a request for fire orange for my 2024 G80CX. I emailed them last night because it went 112 status and still wasn’t showing individual color on my garage, and they just told me individual colors are closed until the 2025 model year.

I would tell them you don’t want the allocation anymore and ask why they didn’t tell you 14 days ago that the individual color option for 2024 was closed.

Sorry to hear.

Interesting, I’m finalizing my G80CX build today as my dealership just said they had a MY24 112 status allocation for me and they know I’m going with an Individual color ( Atlantis ).

I asked about the 24/25 cutoff for Individual orders and they said it should be a 24, but let’s see when they fully submit the order. Will report back on what happens.

Well that’s not the answer I was hoping for

Looks like Atlantis and LBB are no longer available to order according to what I was just told.

I think I would be okay with that haha! I know there is a decent amount of Atlantis M3 but I have seen very few Long Beach.

You'd have to request it to see. That's how I found out about Aurora Diamond Green as it was originally approved and then was told it was no longer available.

What do you think the reasoning is behind getting rid of ADG and possibly now Atlantis and LBB? Does the ADG apply to all vehicles for individual or just G8X?
