He was expecting that price based on "internal" documents. Even with basic information what everyone has, there isnt even a slight chance of that happening with M3 Jahres priced in the high 90s.

The CSL doesn't need a cage, lol, name the vehicles that come with a cage from the factory. Now name the ones that don't that are unreal performance/track cars....there are quite a few. Cage means nothing. The GTS flopped because it had a cage, adjustable wing, and water injection, which sound cool on paper but no so much in reality.

On the other hand, the M5CS (and I have had a 2022 X5M and a 19 M5 Comp, both of which I loved) is a four door mostly uncompromised daily driver type of vehicle with seats that say, "Don't daily drive me, just impress three friends once." IMO, they took an already really great car, made it better, and then made it undriveable for it's natural habitat with the seats.

The seats in a car like the CSL make perfect sense and serve the purpose. In a four door with backseats, it takes away from the car. Sorry, it's just my opinion, the M5CS otherwise is very nice.

The thread is M4CSL or M5CS, so M4CSL because both are set up to be more track oriented but really, an M5CS on the track is not going to be the same as the M4CSL, the CSL is the obvious choice. For daily driving, the answer is neither car is right, which leaves the M5CS sort of out in the cold, that's what I guess I mean by identity crisis.

I dont understand why people say the M5CS isn't daily driveable? It isn't some stripped out racecar... it has 4 bucket seats (that are debateable whether they are comfortable or not, sure) it has traction to all 4 wheels, 4 doors, ample trunk space, and ample interior space to haul people..

Daily drive mine. Right around 8k miles since I got it last August.

Only people who say the CS isn't daily driveable are people who haven't owned a real track car before.

No body is putting a CS on the same stage as a gt3rs, 600LT etc... Period. Drive one of those for 2 hours i'm dying. And i'm not old, or overweight..

would agree with that. You got the m4 to hit the track, CS to take the dinner and stretch the legs out on the highway..

I grew up racing shifter karts and then racing cars until I had kids about 5 years ago.

the m5cs seats alone are uncomfortable enough to rule out daily driving. You can daily a GT3 but I would definitely not if it had the buckets.

seats make a much bigger difference than suspension stiffness, IMO.

I guess "daily driveable" and "good, nice, comfortable daily driver" are two different things. With that distinction, you can daily drive anything if you want to.

It isn't that the seat are comfortable or not. It's the ingress/egress that makes people frustrated with them.

Once in them they are fine for a 4 hour drive.

/ Convo

These seats are absolutely terrible to get in and out. Worse than Senna seat.
