My car hasn't moved an inch…still production begins. Last I talked to genius (before Xmas) my production was to begin 1/10-1/16 with completion by 1/17.

However, when my dealer texted me my VIN on 12/17, he said completion by 1/24. I tried calling genius yesterday, but the hold time was forever and I didn't have the patience to wait.

That’s likely the only way my car would be finished on 1/17.

Update: flipped to assembly in progress this morning (EST) so the factory is open on Saturday.

I have it too. Any idea what it is?

Oh no. I dont want to induce panic but I have been doing some research on this and no one knows what it is. However, Every person who has had It has been stuck with stop sales at the VPC or stuck in QC.

I hope this isn't a flavor of what's to come.

We'll considering my build hasn't started yet, I find it hard to believe it would be related to a stop sale

What I assume is going to happen is that you car will be built, and it'll be missing something- RAM, Amp or something else.

Either we will be stuck in QC or the car will ship with a stop sale and we'll be stuck in the port.

2,3,M cars that have had this pop up on their build have all been, and currently are, stuck in QC or have a stop sale. I have yet to see someone who had this pop up and get their car.

Just search the forums and you'll see what I am talking about

This sounds like my order too…ordered 12/15 flipped to 150 12/17 w/VIN assigned; however, mine hasn't moved at all since and now I have this special id 2 bs…
I got carbon buckets

Then again, IDK when Special Identification 2 was ever add to my build bc I only noticed this morning bc of the post above

I'm trying to figure out why our cars got tagged with SI2 and no one else in this thread hasn't.

You have a m4 and I have a m3. So both are made in different factories.

I have IomG and you have tb

We both have Kylami orange bucket seats but the m3 and m4 seats are slightly different.

We both have laser and shadow line.

We both have carbon interior but I'm sure others do it

We both have parking assist but I'm sure others do to

We both have exec but others do to


I can't pinpoint it. I hope I'm overreacting to this SI2 tag but judging by others, it doesn't bode well

Have you checked the dev tools? It'll show if the completion date changed.
