I was reading another website about the status "Production Begins" and the fact I received my VIN.

Initially I was thinking my car will enter in the line and process all steps until my build week(47).

But, based on what I read. When you get your VIN all parts necessary to produce will be order(BMW internally speaking).
That means this process will look into the current inventory all parts necessary to my build(leather, seats, stereo and etc).

Parts without inventory will be produced to fulfill my car.

That will explains my car is stopped at the same status for days.

here is my timeline:

11/10 - 150 vin
11/22 - 151 Exterior Body Assembly Begins
11/23 - 152 paint

My build is supposed to be completed by 11/24 so it is possible but unlikely. I flipped to paint this morning so getting to QC by tomorrow is possible I guess but highly doubtful it will be finished tomorrow. If your estimated completion date is late this week or early next, I suspect your build will get going very soon.

Genius just said he’s seeing a lot of builds go straight from 150 to final quality check because the factory keeps forgetting to scan. Let’s see if that’s true or he was just trying to appease me…

I was told something like this also. Basically it will pass a bunch of the phases in one day. I dont think he lying because I see it on other build weeks where members stated this.

Weird. The site has been down for me since last night. Maybe I’ll get lucky and when it comes back up it’ll say in quality control lol

If you're using your iphone go under settings, safari and clear history and website data
That fixed it for me

Site has ssl issues. You need to approve an exception to proceed as the browser wont allow the connection.

MKParris Curious - did you order an M4 or M3? M4's have been delayed in QC so if yours is an M4 that is encouraging that it went from Assembly to QC to Dispatched in a day or so.
