spacers

Hey all,

I just recently purchased some future classic spacers for my G80. I purchased 12mm and 15mm. I’ve seen people do 15mm in the front and 12mm in the back, i have also seen the reversed. What the best setup which should I put in the front and back? I don’t want to adversely affect handling negatively.

15mm in the front will rub. You can only do it if you get the RKP fender clearance in the front

Do 15 front, 12 rear - rear doesn't need as much as the front. You will rub with the 15 if you have Pirellis, you will not rub if you have PS4S.

Whether you rub or not, it's not a huge deal - you can modify the fender liners in many ways.

13mm in the front were rubbing on my car, and i have the Michelin tires.

15mm wont clear without modifying the fender

you're right, I thought I only rubbed once I changed my wheel/tire setup. That said, it was a slight rub and only in reverse at full lock - shouldn't be a factor when picking spacers.

Regardless, modifying the fenders is pretty easy and there are endless ways to fix the rubbing. See my thread as one example

Interesting replies. I’m on ps4s and I’m running 15mm all around with no rubbing at all. That’s before and after installing my v3’s. I guess results vary quite a bit.

It’s because the pirelli tires are much thicker than PS4’s

Poster above said he was rubbing with 13mm front and michelin. Yet I've seen other posts that 15mm with michelin has no rub.

So....??

15mm all around with no rubbing. I used a heat gun to make the vent fins in question pliable then pushed them forward a little bit. No cutting. I just did this when I installed the spacers so don’t know if I would have rubbed had I not. It was easy enough to do while I already had the wheels off. Super happy with the results.

What setup are you using springs, coils?

I had Michelin tires with 15mm spacers all around and it was a minimal rub in reverse. I switched to 20 all around with a 285/295 combo BC Forged wheels and +11 front and +12 rear for offset. Same as running 15 front, 13 rear spacers. It looks the same because I'm running wider tires and wheels.
