Same. 9% ish on the M4 and a little less (5-6%) on the M3 seems to be doable.

Is it possible to get a good lease deal?
...on a fairly loaded M4 Competition (with CCBs) with an MSRP around $100,000?
It seems like all the current, good lease deals are for lightly optioned vehicles ($85,000 MSRP or less). But, let's say one was interested in a loaded M4 for $100,000, at the current residuals, for 12,000 miles/year, what would be a decent lease deal? What would the Money Factor be? And what would the payment look like, with little down (no more than $2000)? Or is it the case when you want a loaded M3 or M4, that it's just best to buy it and not lease it? |

BMW Select may be an option to consider being it is a purchase vs. a lease. It really only works if... 1. The APR is low (0.9 - 1.9 is), and 2. You keep the miles low (for resale at the end). Unlike leasing, putting money down up front is not a bad thing if you can afford to do so. Sales tax is included up front on the entire purchase price (including balloon), not on the payments (can vary in some states), so those payments are are quite reasonable, especially if you put more down. Decide at the end to pay off the balloon payment (if you want to keep it), or sell / trade-in which works out well especially if you keep it pristine and low miles. If it's your DD and you put 10k+ miles on a year, it may not work out as well for you in the end. Not sure about a $100k+ car though. All those high priced options will depreciate even faster and the balloon payment at the end will be that much higher. Tough call.

I think I'll just randomly contact dealerships with my expensive build, just to see if I get anyone willing to work with me. It's doubtful, but there may be some hungry out-of-the-area dealer out there willing to make a deal to get the business. I'm certainly willing to wait a year for things to calm down and incentives to kick in, and then can weigh the benefits of the coming AWD Ms. But if a dealer with a decent deal works with me, I'd bite. |

Not sure where you're located as that will be a bigger factor. My build is $100k; there are no discounts. It depends on your location as it's not rare that orders are pushing $100k in California, but it might be in other places.

Do remember also, that the monthly will go up if you roll them in and that can mess with your credit score/ability to get other loans.

For instance (and theory here, I could be wrong), in Illinois, you owe taxes on total of the lease payments. So if your lease payments are going to be a total of $36,000, then you owe taxes on that amount day#1 (which they can roll into the lease payment and you are just paying interest on it - as in your cap cost goes up). I suspect my fine government here in Illinois wants that money even if you total the car driving out of the dealership (like they would want it on a purchase). But some states tax the lease payment per month - in effect the tax is on the monthly payment made that month. I suspect that in those states you would NOT want to put the tax as down payment cause then you have to figure out how to get it back from the state. But like I said, I'm certainly not an expert in this stuff in terms of taxes. I just know that you never want to pay down your cap cost with a downpayment - cause you will lose that if you total the car I think

Awesome! I agree 100% with regards to the better use of that money... For some reason I thought the base MF was much higher which is why I asked.

You wrote "Just like a lease. Not a catch in site." and the fact is, in some states it is NOT "just like a lease" and there are catches.
