If you select the <100 mph option, the target pressures will be as they are on your door jam, (32 psi I believe). If you select >100 mph, the targets will be something like 35-36 psi front and 38-40 psi rear as it is in the owner's manual. I forget what the actual >100 mph numbers are but they are a bit higher than the <100 mph figures. I know this because I selected the >100 mph option when I changed to my winter wheels/tires and then the system told me my rears were now low at 32 psi when they were fine before I selected that option. I since went back to the <100 mph option because realistically, I'm not hitting 100 mph in my daily drive (essentially no highway).

Does anybody know what the >100 MPH means in practice? Are you supposed to run that PSI if you go above every now and again (e.g. freeway passing like you mentioned) or only for sustained >100 MPH like folks who commute on the Autobahn?

Only if you drive a significant distance at > 100mph.
