How is the turbo lag on the car? I wonder if that's been addressed since the X3M. How is the steering in sport, is it well weighted and communicative? Also, how does the suspension perform as a daily driver over road imperfections? Thanks!

335britt, how's the steering feel compared to the E9X M3, or your E92 335i and F80 and do you have have the actual weight of the G80 M3 Comp you have the privilege of breaking in? Do you still work at a VDC?

As regards handling, if ok, please change lanes swiftly at speed and let us know how it handles compared to the F80 and E9X.

OP you have an ethical and moral obligation to find some twisties and give us your driving reviews, along with your level of experience and skill, ASAP. I suspect the villagers are already outside your house with pitch forks and torches as you've had the car for several days! Lol

Poor guy. It's Christmas (break)! As an owner of an X3MC I too am curious about the power delivery.

Surprised no one has asked yet, but how's the transmission tuning on the ZF8? Is it even in the same ballpark as DCT? I drove an M240i the other day and was let down big time.

The S58 handles this increase admirably.
I like that the OP does not hesitate to call things exactly the way he sees them. First said that he didn't really like the grill and now that he still prefers the DCT. So I trust his input in the other areas

How did you get the weight figures? If the difference with similar features is less than 200 lbs it's not that bad considering previous data suggests over 300 lbs!

The CF seats are comfortable enough for my 35 minute commute. I haven't driven the vehicle over 45 minutes. I would imagine the seats will be good for track driving. For me the seats are a little challenging for ingress/egress. As time goes on it will probably get better.
The weights on the VIN-tag are the Gross weight ratings, not the curb weight.

For some of us this is the key question. How does it carry the added weight? Not if it accelerates harder, we all know it will but how it impact turn in, agility and balance. If you are more of a casual driver than a hard core driving enthusiast, does it feel heavier and slower to react when changing directions when pushing it?

Btw, huge thanks for posting here, we are starved for any information you provide, the more the better. You are in position to scoop people like Chris Harris, Tiff Needell and the likes, take it...
I share Solstice's concern about the effect of added weight. This uneasy feeling is compounded by the lack of driving reviews so close to introduction. I bought an early E90 M3 in March 2008 and recall seeing reviews 8 or 9 months prior to that. Now we're 2 or 3 months before launch and - crickets. M cars should be great track performers right out of the box. I hope the G90 doesn't disappoint in this regard.
This is one of the few reviews of the G82 from a track session:

Just for my morbid curiosity - why buy a 100k car you’re still not a “fan” of a major design element on?

That’s my question as well. I had the F80 and found no lag taking off hard from a stop. I now have the X3m Comp and there is lag taking off hard from a stop. Only lag I notice is from a stop. No such situation in my previous F10 M5s either.

Interested in this answer as well.

I saw the G22 for the first time at dealer and the grille is horrendous in person even at different angle, not cutting it for me.

I was at the dealer last week finalising the M2 comp order when they rolled out the M3 and M4 in the launch colours green and yellow.
I spent 20 minutes or so looking at them and just struggled with the lack of synergy between front and back.
I am a coupe person (hence moving from the M2 to the comp), but in in this case if I had to choose it would be the M3 the M4 seemed to lack presence compared to the Sedan which looked wide and aggressive.
There was also a base 440 parked next to them and although the front looked worse in non M format the overall looks of the M4 to non M did not seem much different to my eyes.
The M4 seems "soft", again only my opinion but I will stick with the M2.
