The issue is my car has 49k miles. I’m nervous about owning the car outside the warranty period. I got quotes for extended warranties and it’s around $175 a month. I feel like paying over $600 a month in just car insurance/ warranty is expensive so I’m at a loss of what to do

I hear you, I won’t keep my car out of warranty, I think it’s ok to do so for a short time, but I won’t do it. Tough decision. Maybe trade it into the dealer and do a short term rental from Sixt or something? Dunno.

My current interest rate is only .99% and I'm wondering if rates will go down in the next few months when I take delivery.

I'm also wondering if I should wait until the 25 LCI.

They said they will guarantee the positive equity so I can keep my car until I get the new one...what would you all do? If I put $5000 down on the new one my payment goes up by around $150....
My vote based on your mileage and warranty period is…. Go for it. Not sure what the build week would be, but I’d go pre-LCI if possible. You’re looking at losing the look of the current headlights and a price hike with the LCI.

Hi all,

I’m coming out of a ‘18 Macan Turbo Performance and am considering purchasing a ‘24 M3 Comp Xdrive that is at the port with estimated arrival in June. The salesman says they do not get that many allocations in the year and they are sold long before they hit the lot; usually they are ordered with 6-8 months lead. He said this one was a duplicate order (who knows if that’s true 🤷🏻‍♂️) and is available.

The spec is attached. Looks like it’d be fun and pretty to me. Should I expect to be able to get any discount on this car? It sounds unlikely if I believe the salesman that they’re sold before they hit the lot, but I read above that people have gotten 6-8% off…so I’m not sure what to believe.

Thanks!

People have not been getting 6-8% off MSRP on G80, on G82/G83 it’s possible, but not M3. Doesn’t sound to me that you’ll do any better than MSRP there, but don’t let them con you into ADM. GL.

M4 6-8% all day, 10%+ at end of month, weird color, aggressive dealer, etc. M3 at the right time 2-3% off for RWD comp. Maybe a smidge for a stick if there's not a market for it. xDrive, much harder. Certainly not on an ordered car. But a failed order/bloated odd indie paint car that's been sitting...I'd say 5-7% is possible.

So dealers do give better deals at the end of the month? I have more negotiating power?

Absolutely. End of month, quarter and year in increasing order, generally speaking.

Thank you, this helps with expectations (mine). Them trying to tack on ADM hadn't occurred to me, thanks for the heads-up. I have never paid one of those and have not intention of starting!
