I believe my RAM is finally closed! Have been waiting from Oct 14. Check your status folks. I'm waiting for confirmation from the dealership.

There seems to be no explanation on how they go about fixing the RAM. There are people with production dates later than some that have their car fixed while others don’t. I still hope that the internal info is true and that they do get fixed by March 20th.
I can see Fritz walking into the parking lot with a box full of amps and doing the old eeenie mini miney moo |

Nice !! your wait is almost over. Unfortunately for me the recall tool still shows the RAM as an open issue.

Maybe MY memory is wrong. I always remember that the RAM recall you said has been closed. I hope your problem can be solved as soon as possible to end this annoying waiting

I just got the news from my salesman that my car has left Bremen port on 22nd and is expected to arrive on 3rd. You should ask your salesman, I guess we should be on the same ship

It still does not show closed per my dealership for some reason. Who is your dealer and what was your production week? Thx

My dealer in SK, my car was built on 15th Nov, I'm not sure when it was shipped to the port of bremen. i only know that it was already in there when i asked my dealer about it, that was 3rd Jan. my recall closed on 1st Feb, but i missed the first two boats in the beginning.

Got off the phone with a buddy in Europe ex-Bmw employee. Told him about our issues and how cars are randomly getting the parts. His reply was yeah that happens due to logistics at the port and how the cars are accessible, so it might be that when they have a few parts they’ll install on whatever is easy and accessible and move that car out of the way over to the shipping yard for the next ship.

I called BMW Canada customer service line (I must be a glutton for punishment) and the rep said my car is status "Arrived". She has no idea where it arrived and I tried asking if she could get a manager to decipher what she's seeing on screen. She said that I should contact my dealership.
This isn't the first time I've had a questionable status, since one week after my car was built (week 45) the call centre said my car was at Port of Entry. This ended up being false. My RAM issue still shows as open so I have a hard time believing it was on the latest ship that arrived in Halifax week ago. |

Yeah and as it turns out false alarm since the car is still under Port Campaign in Germany (according to my sales guy).
Honestly if the car was on fire in the Atlantic and sank to the bottom of the ocean BMW Canada would never know or know how to communicate this. |
