One of my favorite Matt Farah quotes was when TST did a one take on the M5CS:

"Who buys a M5, even a M5CS, to not use as their everyday car?! Like, this is an every day car, just admit it... you're not buying a 4000lb sedan just to go to track days. Maybe you'll do a track day... but it's not just for track days... why are you taking all the comfort out of this thing? It's absurd."

BMWs are jack-of-all trade cars, even and especially CSs - their charm lies in the fact that they are a one car solution. Sometimes the sacrifices for basic creature comforts for a minuscule weight savings don't make a ton of sense to me either lol.

I realize that but for example, how many months prior to production did they announce the specs and pricing for the M4CSL?

CSL production began in August and announcement was in May.

G87 M2 announcement is in October and production starts in December if I am not mistaken.

Saw it on this Room

Greetings from Germany, I was allowed to see the car on Sunday in this room.

Looks very similar to the CSL, especially from the front. Yellow LED like the CSL and M5 CS. Order start will be 1.03.2023. When it will be presented I can not say, that was not communicated.

Only a maximum of 1800 cars will be built worldwide. 250 for Germany. There are four colors. Frozen Grey, Frozen White, Black and Signal Green. X Drive is factory-installed. Actually the better CSL I think Inside there is a lot of carbon and many CS shields. Alcantara steering wheel, carbon shift paddles, also some carbon outside, also the stripes on the hood like on the CSL. As I said, very similar to the CSL. Rejoice. For me it will be one in signal green

Greetings

Thank god I already reserved a spot for a CS, signal green is so tempting!

I wonder if all orders will need to be placed in a limited time frame like the CSL because the production span is much longer eop 02/2024, I'd like to have mine for spring of 2024.

I was hoping for the deep green metallic with bronze wheels just like the m5cs.

Signal green is way too bright for me.

I'm actually surprised no (non-mat) grey color, seems like there a missing color, can't wait for official reveal and how much weight saving they will announce.

I love Python green and I think it is a little different than signal green. Python looks especially good with bronze accents.

Personally, I am hoping the car can be spec'd with a stripe delete like the CSL.

Of course there will be, the stripes are really there for the person who wants to let everyone know this is not just a regular model. Not just a BMW thing, we see all brands doing this, that's what a lot of ppl want.

Can you let us know if it had rear bucket seats.

Also, is the trunk a duckbill like the CSL or is it the M performance wing

Well, if I read how many people here want to add the CSL trunk, hood, wheels or yellow headlights, then this attitude you talk about is indeed not that rare. Nothing against it though.
